Re: Hide OpenCart Version in Admin Section

You shouldn't even be allowing the world to see your admin page :o :o :o

Hiding the version number is not really going to help with security. A script kiddie is going to hack away if it is version 0.1 or 3.9 !

Re: One-page checkout with Enhance user friendly

@ itarget good conversion of the 1.5 process! Not sure if I like the magento governmental form application. Sure everything is put on 1 page but does that make it easier? How many clicks are really there? How many times do I need to scan the page to see IF I forgot something? How many options have b...

Re: Creating new checkout template

I just re-themed mine.

How many hours do you have to spare and how many hours do you have on combing several controllers.
By the time you'e finished you could submit back in as a true 1 page checkout.

Easy way: You're going to need to lots of hidden fields and jquery it to death >:D

Re: CSS Styled Template

Like karlpers wrote.

You can do this.
You'll need to mix and match your css with the css from opencart.
I find it easier to start from zero since there is about the same amount of work involved in converting from A to B but at least you get to keep your images and base styling.

Re: OpenCart 1.5.1 upgrade and theme upgrade

Actually there are several threads on this topic. You need to run the upgrade script and basically install. Do a db dump using phpmyadmin or such. Do a back up from the admin panel. Just in case: copy all site files. Run the upgrade script. You will loose all 1.4.x modifications. You will need a new...

Re: Screwed around with my admin folder need HELP ASAP

Re: How too center Copyright footer?

Hi Petrus!

I really do agree with you but sometimes there are new people here that don't even understand:

Code: Select all

<?php
phpinfo();
?>
So, I try to keep my advice as "try and make mistakes" and then come for help.

Re: Wrong Grammar in OC 1.5.1.1

muwahah
Daniel is British. I'm not sure if he's English or not.

Just for reference, current British spelling is based on French :o
The bloody Yanks kept the original Queen's spelling ;)

Re: exceptions from the frontpage ?

It's possible.
You have to run a php if / else code check if category image exists. However, it's a performance hit.

Why don't you just add a picture?

Re: Screwed around with my admin folder need HELP ASAP

Ok, you hosed your config file. If you have a copy, upload that. Just in case: DON'T USE THIS WITHOUT EDITING!!!! <?php // HTTP define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://127.0.0.1/~XYZXYZ/opencart_v151/admin/'); define('HTTP_CATALOG', 'http://127.0.0.1/~XYZXYZ/opencart_v151/'); define('HTTP_IMAGE', 'http://127....

Re: Checkout Not Working [1.5.0]

Are you sure you're using 1.5.0????
If you are use the 1.5.1.x version.

1.5.0 is like a pre-pre-pre-release.

Re: How too center Copyright footer?

+1 on search and learn But this isn't really a MVC problem but rather more of a CSS/html styling issue. Go into: catalog/view/theme/(your theme)/stylesheet/stylesheet.css catalog/view/theme/(your theme)/common/footer.tpl If you do not have an added theme, you should make a backup copy of the default...

Re: Changing module txtcolor + other

Provide a link so that we can view the source of your site :D I don't agree with Daniel's choice of the share functionality since I'm not very keen on giving away free data to a company. Opencart uses: http://www.addthis.com/ However, there are several jquery options and they normally require that y...

Re: Code Error

Are you on the latest stable php? I think I remember reading some where that 5.3.0 was buggy. I'm on 5.3.4, home brew install so there shouldn't be any real issues of losing files so to say. However, there is the possibility of missing dependency or not installing something that you had with the old...

Re: Featured spare (unwanted) spaces

Just edit the template/module/fetured.tpl file 8)

You will probably have to add new CSS to the stylesheet too!
