Re: Basic manuals

If you want to learn PHP you could start with W3 Schools http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_intro.asp After you've done that, for Object Orientated Programming you could read this http://www.killerphp.com/tutorials/object-oriented-php/ This looks pretty good too. http://css-tricks.com/php-for-beginne...

Thanks ritey, I've already read all this, including the book, but what I mean is something more in depth to really understand how it's all working.

Basic manuals

Hi, can anybody give me some good links to any online manuals that would help me start getting the knowledge to be able to modify the opencart code, database, etc and at least understand it? (My web programming level is very basic... in other words I know HTML !). But I did program many years ago an...

Re: Sneak Peek: OpenCart 1.5.0 *ALPHA*

I'd still like to see the code ;-) It was promised by the end of the month which is two more days... just give it a bit. I think its going to be another week. I didn't remember that there are only 28 days in feb. But... is that an earth week or an Opencart week....? Only joking, great work Daniel, ...

Re: Sneak Peek: OpenCart 1.5.0 *ALPHA*

What I'm worried about is investing time into the first more or less complete 1.5.X version and that some (or all) of my work will not be compatible with future 1.5.X versions... well if you create your theme's properly only changing the files you absolutely need too and letting the rest fall back ...

Re: Sneak Peek: OpenCart 1.5.0 *ALPHA*

I typically handle the the upgrade script updates. I have not had a chance to play with the latest code yet so I don't know exactly what all the changes for update are. I can tell you that the upgrade from the old individual product options to the new global product options is not going to be easil...

Re: Sneak Peek: OpenCart 1.5.0 *ALPHA*

I'm sorry if you misunderstood me... I wasn't speaking about a live shop, I was speaking about uploading articles into the DB and not being worried about having to though away my work from one 1.5.X version to another..... Anyway, when gmail was a Beta version I used it to send and receive e-mails, ...

Re: Sneak Peek: OpenCart 1.5.0 *ALPHA*

sorry! yes you are right thats going to be a pain to do. Daniel/Q, what many of us might want to know is: Will all 1.5.X versions be compatible between them? In other words when you publish 1.5.0 Beta or RC or whatever the name of the first version's going to be, if I start setting it up (meaning t...

Re: Sneak Peek: OpenCart 1.5.0 *BETA*

There is no point to having a "SNEAK PEEK" like the "ALPHA" sneak peak when you don't get access to the code - hence a sneak peak. Better just to release the BETA and be done with it like Daniel is promising - unless releasing another SNEAK PEAK is just another delay tactic. Totally agree, I think ...

Re: 'Grabbing' pricing from our suppliers website

Hi, I want to do the same but with the quantity. If you find out how to do it can you post it here.

Q, can you extend the info...? What should we look for, I've looked at the code but I don't know where the "Availability" variable is coming from...
