Re: Coming from an asp.net mvc background & have some questi

I don't think there's any need for a full on IDE editor really, not for PHP, your right in thinking it doesn't need compiling like asp.net... I used to code in asp.net, and absolutely hated it. I was only a novice at the time and was just using Visual Web Developer - to which I tried setting up a No...

Your site isn't even loading for me, instantly says "Page cannot be displayed". Probably one of your biggest problems I'd say :P

Think it might of been a blip in his testing - I got it too for the same extension, again that I haven't bought, and twice!

Re: Memory usage when editing products

I'm just about to switch hosts in an attempt to address the problem. I'm more inclined to believe its an issue with my host and there server settings (and unwillingness to modify them in any attempt to address the issue). I'm thinking about switching to Arvixe to test (Cheap, and seems to be positi...

Re: Payment module password security

like I said you can still see the value if you viewed the source, so it'd still be retrievable, so not encrypted like he asked.

Re: Payment module password security

Well when it comes to the page to set it up, there's not a lot you can do to encrypt it I think so it's unreadable. One thing you could do is just remove it completely from view if you were to open up the page File: admin\view\template\payment\sagepay.tpl Find: <td><input type="text" name="sagepay_p...

Re: Auto-login from another database system

Certainly is possible to do, but would require a bit of knowledge ofc of PHP... which, I hope you have? If you dont, might be work looking for looking for a developer, as it's certainly not something you could be walked though, as it would be a little complicated especially as we dont know what othe...

Re: Weird Problem with Shopping Cart

Possibly a problem in the language pack, possibly a problem with your option names (loads of spaces perhaps?)

hard to say when there's only a picture to go by.

Post a link to your store.

Re: error on language

You haven't installed your language pack correctly.

Check over the settings in the admin section, and make sure you have at least a folder named portuguese in the catalog/language directory, and a file named portuguese.php in the catalog/language/portuguese folder.

Re: Where is Base href generated?

As I said in your previous post, your problem is down to running multiple stores via the same URL. it will always happen with the way you've configured your store, and would be a big job I think to get it working a different way.

Re: Registering domain names.

There are many stores that have smooth OpenCart operations with GoDaddy. I am eight of them. As with anything in life, the people who have the greatest difficulty following directions scream the loudest, so that is what you see on the "woe is me" sites. Do a search yourself, you'll see that many pe...

Re: Registering domain names.

If you actually click the Arvixe link at the top of this page, the package it show's is the personal class, I personally think there business class is a bit of a gimmick, the only benifit is the dedicated IP included, which isn't always required. It's as easy as it can get I suppose, but to a novice...

vQmod basically edit's the php/tpl files on the fly without actually touching the original OC code. -PHP page is requested -vQmod checks for changes required in the XML documents -vQmod applies these changes and saves the file -newly created vQmod'd file is parsed instead of the original www.vqmod.c...

Re: Registering domain names.

Nope, you just need there standard Business Class, or even the standard Personal Class - NOT ASP.

ASP runs on a window server, and is microsoft technology.... stay away!

Re: Registering domain names.

Do a search on the forums for GoDaddy - people have nothing but problems with them, you'd be a mug to sign up with them. Arvixe would deffinately be the best choice for you. You dont have to have SSL, but it all depends on how your store is set up really... If you want to take payments directly on y...

Re: Set Search field / button as active

The chances are it's down to this part of the code $('#header input[name=\'filter_name\']').keydown(function(e) { It's looking for a search box within an element with an id of header (div id="header"). Chances are, the search box isn't within this element, which is why the code isn't being applied.

Re: Store link problem

Well that's where your problem lies, you cannot use the same HTTP url or HTTPS url across different stores, if you do, your main store WILL get messed up, it's not designed for the way you want it. The default store's values are stored directly in the config files, the way everything is assigned to ...

Re: Store link problem

God know's what you've done, seems strange! Firstly, somwhere it seems as though you have an SSL setup error? If I was to do what you say, and head over to http://www.labeshops.com and click the affiliates link at the bottom, it does indeed change it to the different layout you described - BUT, it's...
