Re: US merchants: SERIOUS incr. in sales (NOT spam, read on)

so how does it work once you click on the button it basically takes you to a cart hosted on their site where the shipping is calculated and payment is taken via whatever methods they support? Yes, exactly. The code passes your cart through to a populated cart on their site (with a smaller version o...

Re: Definitely off-topic: How do you liquidate unsold stock?

All good ideas.

I did liquidate some stuff on eBay several years ago, then stopped when even they wouldn't buy what was left :D
Have not had luck selling in mixed lots on eBay...a pity.

I tried once on Craigslist. May try again.

That's great to hear.
Do you have a program that streamlines the completion of customs forms?

Definitely off-topic: How do you liquidate unsold stock?

You gotta do it eventually. How do you get rid of the stuff that hasn't sold for a few years?

I'm in the US. I've looked at Liquidation.com but that's less than optimal (also has a sucky reputation with buyers). Got a lukewarm offer from one company but haven't checked out many others.

US merchants: SERIOUS incr. in sales (NOT spam, read on)

When I first joined the forum, I'd asked whether anyone had integrated OC with International Checkout ( http://www.internationalcheckoutsolutions.com/ ), but didn't get any response. I asked because I have them on my current (soon-to-be old) cart. I paid that hosted cart provider $500 to integrate i...

Q's AUTHORIZE.NET (AIM) OPENCART ADDON?

Saw this on your site, Q, which raises a question. I haven't finished building the new store yet but assumed I had Authorize.net AIM already - it's one of the payment options in my admin. But since you've made your addon compatible with 1.4.8, what am I missing?

Re: Your opinion regarding my left nav?

Thanks, Jay. Your input is appreciated (as always). (I like the "misc" category. Think I'll have to implement that one right away ! ) Actually, the text is just bolded (I hate text moving the nav around, too). The one I'm working on now for the site does that as well. Because the text is onl...

Your opinion regarding my left nav?

Am hoping to get several opinions from a shopper's POV. After much thought and research, I long ago decided to list everything in my left nav...when someone comes to my site, they look quickly for exactly what they want, and I want whatever that is to be immediately apparent. Here's my existing (non...

Re: Multiple Orders Error after upgrade

That last example happens anytime a customer uses a credit card and their first attempt is declined, with any cart. They aren't actually being charged twice. It's stupid, but after declining a charge, the bank still places a reserve on the funds. The declined reserve will drop off their card after 3...

Re: Ack! IE8 sux...need major help

Yes, very odd, isn't it?

I do know that I used a hammer rather than a scalpel to edit my header and product templates, especially. It worked in Chrome, so I left it that way.

Thank you very much for taking the time to look at it. Much appreciated.

Ack! IE8 sux...need major help

Made the stupid mistake of not viewing my site mods in all browsers until now. Looks great in Chrome and FF, but is a major train wreck in IE8. Can anyone help me fix this? There's only one product uploaded at the moment. You'll probably have to view in Chrome or FF to compare to IE8 to see all the ...

Re: How to centering the footnote?

Go into your stylesheet and find

Code: Select all

#footer .div2
You'll see that it's set to float: right. Change that to float: center. That should do it, but you've still got the payment icons (div1) floating left, and I don't know how that will look, but it's up to you.

Re: How to change number of products in latest module?

Oh...duh!! I'm so sorry. I even looked there and apparently the "limit" field or its number didn't trip that wire in my brain.

What I get for doin' stuff after midnight...

Re: How to centering the footnote?

Okay...totally baffled, then. I completely changed my footer and the HTML did what it was supposed to.

What is the URL of your shop, so I can look at your footer? You might PM me the total code in your footer, so I can look at it, too.
