Re: How to modify order emails

Okay, I know I can change the order confirmation email in catalog/view/theme/default/template/mail/order_confirm.tpl. But I still don't know how to: (a) fix the table in that email so the product column is wider than that for the product # email.jpg (b) stop the "Customer Receipt/Purchase Confirmati...

Re: Select only the latest products module?

Maybe it would be helpful for you to explain what you're trying to do. OC doesn't use ID numbers or codes; it uses templates, language files, modules, php scripts, etc. You can control where the Latest Products displays (or doesn't) from your admin panel. You can control what it's called in the lang...

Re: Is it possible to remove address field from contact us?

All language changes will be in the various language files.

The one you want is catalog/language/english/information/contact.php

How to modify order emails

I apologize if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I couldn't find it. Just now testing out the ordering process, and I notice that I (as a customer) was sent not 1, but 2 emails. One was the "Thank your for your order from" email with the logo at the top, and the second was a Customer Receipt/Pu...

Re: authorize.net

Okay, before Q comes back and slaps my hand for not searching the forums thoroughly enough, here is his answer about how to remove the MD5 hash as a required field.

It also works in 1.4.8b: http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 885#p60771

Authorize.net MD5 Hash

I agree with this. Why is it required, and how can I edit the admin file so that it is not? From a post on Zen cart's website (sorry! it was the most data I found doing a web search): "But as I understand it, the MD5 Hash isn't needed for AIM anyway. It's intended for SIM, in which the initial trans...

Re: HELP PLEASE store down

Okay, changed everything back to tcadmin in both config files EXCEPT the URL portion, got into my admin, added that trailing slash.

Site displays fine now (thank you!!).

Am still checking to see what else I may have busted.

Thanks to all.

Re: HELP PLEASE store down

Open both config files Replace /home/tabletopcollectibles with /home/tcadmin and it should fix it all That's what I started with, when I was using a temp domain. That's what I think has to be changed. But in any event, I've tried changing it back and it doesn't fix the prob - maybe because I left o...

Re: HELP PLEASE store down

Also, this is supposed to be how it looks, right? With the .com in the HTTP and HTPS portions and without it in the directory portions? <?php // HTTP define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://tabletopcollectibles.com/admin/'); define('HTTP_CATALOG', 'http://tabletopcollectibles.com/'); define('HTTP_IMAGE', 'htt...

Re: HELP PLEASE store down

Dang - you mean all this could be because of a missing trailing slash? The problem is, I can no longer log in to my admin. (And the reason you temporarily saw more of the website showing is because I changed some things back temporarily.) I changed the admin file back but the login isn't a button. C...

Re: HELP PLEASE store down

Yes, it is.

I notice that the error message includes a reference to "/home/tcadmin/public_html/index.php on line 15"

But since I changed tcadmin to tabletopcollectibles.com in both config files, it shouldn't be looking for tcadmin any longer, right?

[SOLVED] HELP PLEASE store down

Re: original topic: http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=15839&p=77692#p77692 I changed the nameservers on my domain and they've already propagated. So I changed the config.php and the admin/config.php, plus the store domain in my admin, but my store stopped loading, so I'm missing somethi...

Re: Thumbs with whitespace around them?

Unfortunately, when the program generates the thumbnail and main images, it adds white space padding to make the images match the size you dictate. The only way to change this is to manually upload your own images to the cache folder after they've been created, overwriting them. Or you can do as I d...

Re: Is it possible to remove address field from contact us?

Am assuming you're talking about removing the store's address?

Any changes you want to make will be in the template file

catalog/view/theme/default/template/information/contact.tpl

Just remove the section which lists the address.

Yes.

Luckily, there's a quicker way to delete all the countries than one at a time:

This is a bug that has been much discussed. You may have to actually delete the countries you don't want from your data base.

Do some searching on the board. You may find some things that will help you.

Re: What does (or doesn't) make a good shop? - Opinions want

Looking at web sites from a shopper's perspective. :) Actually, your question is mostly my answer. I've built very shopper-friendly websites by paying close attention to how *I* shop on the web. Anything I come across that annoys me, I make sure my stores don't have or do that. That's the simple an...

Re: Basic SEO to kick-start your Online Store

How does this work on the page - the category variations and the site-map? Are the category variations a random list, like a tag list... and where do you put the site map? Thanks! Not really a tag list. Let's see...here is a category page on the site I'm migrating at the moment. The first one: http...
