Re: Attempted hack v2.2

Oh I see, sorry - didn't really look their code. :) (Assuming this is your first VPS/dedicated server and you're on a Linux-based OS): Now that you're on a VPS the onus is on you to keep the OS up-to-date, as well as any dependencies. If you have a WHM account that'll simplify things greatly for you...

Re: Admin bug after upgrade opencart 1.5.5.1 to 2.3.0.2

Is it htaccess password protected?

If so, try adding:

Code: Select all

RewriteEngine Off
to the to of the /admin .htaccess file

Re: Migration of 1.5.6.4 database into clean 2.3 database.

Export your database via phpymadmin. Import tables as SQL one at a time after verifying table structure & re-naming fields appropriately.

No need to buy a tool, just takes a bit of time.

Most ecom stores send a newsletter update informing customers they've migrated to a new platform and thus have to reset their passwords. Not a big deal, I've gotten quite a few of those myself.

Re: Owl Slideshow on homepage - white border will not go awa

Finally found it.

If anyone else is also looking to solve this, it's in:
catalog/view/javascript/jquery/owl-carousel/owl.carousel.css

Look for:

Code: Select all

border: 4px solid #fff;

Re: Attempted hack v2.2

If there's a file in your site that you didn't put there, that wasn't an attempted hack; it was a hack. Do you know how they were able to get that file onto your server? (If you're on a shared server, your host would know the method of operation). If it were through OpenCart and not an unpatched OS/...

Removing the last breadcrumb arrow >

Assuming this is generated in code somewhere, but cannot figure out as to where?
When I modify ::after in the stylesheet, all of the breadcrumb goes away.

Owl Slideshow on homepage - white border will not go away

I added:

Code: Select all

#slideshow0 {
	background: none; border: none;
}
to my stylesheet, which removed most of it, but there's still some white padding that won't go away.

Cannot edit orders / how to modify permissions?

From the dashboard -> Total Orders / view more... -> click the pencil icon beside the order I want to edit -> unable to edit anything except customer details. Then, once customer details are edited, cannot edit anything else. Is this expected behavior? Any way to jump to the spot I want to edit with...

Re: You do not have permission to access this page, please r

in case one has/uses no VqMod, or no VqMod Manager, to check on errors, I changed The Krotek's VqMod a little to hopefully work and be installed/handled like a regular OcMod. At least, if this LINE, by example, will be handled correctly under OcMod Spec's: path="admin/controller/extension/extension...

Re: You do not have permission to access this page, please r

OC 2.3 has very raw and practically non-existent compatibility with older extensions. Download our OpenCart 2.3 Compatibility Fixes extension, check your permissions, uninstall then install extension again. Should help. Is the XML in the zip supposed to go in /vqmod/xml? I put the XML there and I s...

I'm not currently using OpenCart on a live site, so I'm not at the point I'm ready to pay for any extensions. Thanks though.

Re: Make add to cart a link, instead of a button?

Is there a way to make it work? :)

For the purpose of linking in newsletters, for example, clicking the 'Add to Cart' button like exampled above, auto-adds the item to your cart.

Re: You do not have permission to access this page, please r

Interesting. I'm curious on the technical side of things - assuming there's vast improvements and that's what's causing the breakage.

Adding backwards compatibility, doesn't that create a step back on those improvements?

That's a bummer. Is every release like that, with Opencart? (Loss of functionalities that break extensions)
