Re: Progress Towards 1.5.0

Q - Stop answering all the questions and get to work on OpenCart! lol But really...It's almost like some people like to complain for the fun of it... Though I do have to agree...Never use Microsoft as an example for development...:P Also, a note for giving estimates on time lines...Give yourself ext...

Re: Show sold items last

Hello, Thank you for your responses :) I suppose that would work. I will have to give it a try later today. I'll hopefully report back with how it went lol Could always do the update with sort order. Items in stock have sort_order of 1, and everything out of stock with a sort order of 0 (Or the othe...

Re: Show sold items last

Anyone have any ideas? I just need to get all the sold items at the end of the categories. I don't want them clogging up the first page. Users will just see all the sold, and think I have nothing left in stock. Or if anyone has any idea's on a different approach? I can't do quantity, because then th...

Re: [RELEASED] Make an Offer

Hey, awesome extension. Before I look into getting it though, when you (The admin) accept the offer, what happens next? Is it automatically set to sold and the invoice made? Or it emails them letting them know, and then they do the check out process, but it already has the items new price? Or do we ...

Show sold items last

Hey, Ok, what I want to do is show the sold items (Items with a quantity of 0) last for each category. Now, I tried to do a Union, and it works. Sorta. It does what I told it to do. All the ones that aren't sold show up first. Then the ones that are sold show up last. However, you can't sort them. I...

lol While funny, it would only add more problems with people not knowing that Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet :P

Re: Progress Towards 1.5.0

I wasn't referring to the forms. I was referring to sites like this http://www.sourcebits.com/nerve/ that use too much JavaScript. Turn it off, and browse the site. That's what I was referring to. Using JavaScript/Ajax for forms, I have no problems with. That was all I was referring to. I can't see ...

Re: Progress Towards 1.5.0

I wasn't saying they needed to submit forms. They don't, and we don't want them to be able to anyways. What I was referring to was browsing. Turn off JavaScript, and browse a couple of those sites. You wont get very far. As long as it downgrades for browsing, that's fine. Forms or the cart, bots don...

Re: Progress Towards 1.5.0

Just remember, that if you're going to add a crap load of JQuery, that everything downgrades. You turn off JavaScript, you can't view some of those pages. Now yes, most people have JavaScript turned on. However, unless it has changed, bots don't use JavaScript. And you need them to be able to browse...

Well, couldn't you just add what Google says to add? <link rel="canonical" href="http://www.example.com/dresses/greendress.html"> Just have that in the title, using the seo keywords, or product_id, and should solve the problem of multiple entries...No? Or do I miss understand it? Taken from http://w...

Re: Progress Towards 1.5.0

well it's not like 1.5.0 is right around the corner or anything anyways. It will still be a while. Which is why it doesn't need to be delayed even more with something trivial with ie6. I'm not saying to rush 1.5.0. EA Games rushes every game they put out, and end up releasing a bunch of patches. Ve...

Re: Progress Towards 1.5.0

I would prefer that development for 1.5 wasn't delayed due to supporting ie6. My store still gets traffic from ie6, but still, work at making it work in ff 3.6+, Chrome 6+, Opera 10+, IE 8+ and let us worry about ie6. Not everyone deals with businesses that still use ie6, and shouldn't have to wait....

Re: Progress Towards 1.5.0

That looks great! Just a couple questions though. Is there a lot of changes to the core and template system? Just wondering how hard it is going to be to convert older templates to a newer template layout/features. Will older templates still work once the cart is upgraded? (As in everything except t...

Re: OpenCart v1.4.9 RC3 Available for Public Testing!

Hey,
I thought of doing it that way, but still need to be able to edit the shipping.
I'll just do an upgrades, except leaving that out, and continue to use the one from 1.4.8. No big deal.
Thanks for the answers :)

Re: OpenCart v1.4.9 RC3 Available for Public Testing!

Hey,
Yes, it did look like a lot to trouble.
Just wondering, but which version of 1.5.x would it hopefully be in? An early version? Being able to edit quantity, and shipping is important for my shop.
Thanks :)
