505 error

I have a client (I am a marketer not a developer)with a opencart 2.1.0.1 site. It is generally an non-maintained site as her son has been ostensibly building her a new site (for the past 4 years). Shortly after moving to a new server it started throwing a 505 error. This is not in my CV so I am look...

Re: How to unbreak a site

Of Course I will share the solution. As the intrusion had corrupted the vQmod. This needed to be completely removed --including the cache--and reinstalled. This, of course allowed for the reinstallation of the critical extensions referred to in my original post. That's pretty straight forward generi...

Re: How to unbreak a site

Oh well . . .
Another developer gave me the guidance needed in fewer than 30 words.
It was a pretty obvious, generic answer for someone who, unlike myself, was very familiar with OpenCart.
Thanks anyway.

Re: How to unbreak a site

Interesting set of replies. As a marketing consultant (not a developer, not a programmer, not a coder), I understand the need not give away the services I sell. On the other hand, I do give people general advice and guidance gratis when asked. This is limited to the type of general knowledge that I ...

[SOLVED] How to unbreak a site (modified vqmod)

In the process of hacking a client's site, the mongrels' damaged many of the internal workings. Several of the product images had spaces inserted so that a .png file was now a .p ng file. So the image can't load. To make matters worse if I choose to upload a fresh product image with the correct name...

Re: Empty parentheses before price in options

On examining the problem further, I note that it only occurs in the third and subsequent, child options.

Empty parentheses before price in options

In opencart 2.1.0.1 I have an issue with options. The option description is followed by a set of empty parentheses. It is displayed as the option image followed by the description followed by the empty set of parentheses, and--where applicable--the price. I do have the parent-child module by liveope...

Re: Italics in Product title

OK. Problem solved.
In the database, I can ad <h> tags anywhere in the product title
By adding an h7 where font-decoration: none, I accomplished what I needed to do.

Re: Italics in Product title

Thank you Waxed It was so long ago that I originally put this thing together that I had forgotten that I had made the product listings italic as they were titles. Now all I have to do is figure out how to split the one title. But your reply has given me a starting point. I'm still open to suggestions.

Re: Deceptive site ahead

From what URL are you trying to download? The deceptive site ahead is a Chrome security measure to protect you from phishing sites. If it detects a button initiating a download from a third-party site, it will be triggered. So, a site that contains a button that downloads from opencart.com might wel...

Italics in Product title

In OpenCart 2.1.01, the default for product titles is Italic. For most purposes in the cart I am working on, this is fine as the product title is the name of an artwork. However several products are silk scarves that are derived from the artwork. Thus, I need the title to read Silk Scarf: Reflection...

Parenthesis in options

The child options show the name of the option, a set of closed parenthesis followed by the option price where applicable.
Ho do I get rid of the parenthesis?
