Actually I've sussed out what's causing it - no matter how small I make the images there is still the buy button, which is of course fixed width. Now ... the front page grids have more space because there are no margins, but on the related products page there are margins, so the grid has less space ...

I don't think you will need them because if files are uploaded via ftp or whatever direct method to the server, then they don't pass through the php filters. So - you could upload any file type and any filesize with no interference from the script or server php size limits.

I guess so (re pic) - I never actually used this mod myself so I've no idea if it's good or not, just that it claims to do what you need.
Usually the problem with vq mods not working is that the file is uploaded in the wrong place - be sure to upload it to the vqmod/xml/ folder.

Are they 'really' switching or is it just for you ? I was having a slightly similar problem and it turned out to be a cookie/cach issue on my computer - when I cleared them the problem went away. Worth a try

First ou need to go to System - Design - Banners ... there you can edit the samsung banner or create a new one. Once you have done that you need to go to Extensions - modules - slideshow ... there you can set the size and what have you, and of course where it will appear on your site.
