I desperately need this mod for OC 1.5.3.1...
please?
I think you may struggle to find this for such an old version of OC. You may want to try a commercial posting to see if any developer can assist you.

Update both of your config.php files to use www in the HTTP and HTTPS sections of the file as well.

Re: HTTPS shopping carts displays Not Secure

I want to know why is not secured. Have you done as the last person mentioned? Those are the first steps. You can also use whynopadlock.com to troubleshoot. Has your hosting company been of any assistance? As a side note, LetsEncrypt is free though you may want to be aware of things like this: http...

Thought i was on for a winner with cPanel but our host isn't using the new version. Also tried in .htaccess # redirect any request not having www to ssl with www RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^pubstops\.co\.uk [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.pubstops\.co\.uk/$1 [L,R=301] That doesn't work. If your hosting provider is updated to cPanel v80, you can also use the new HTTPS redirection manager: https://blog.cpanel.com/force-https-redirection/

Re: Unable to contact SiteGround

I'd also suggest making a full cPanel backup, download it to your local computer and then find another hosting provider to move to. Support should be reachable within minutes and within hours max.

The original post is 4 years old and the domain generates a 'server not found' error when trying to load it now. Is it even active anymore?

Re: Php and Mysql upgrade

If both the old and new store versions are on the same cPanel account, they're both going to use the same PHP version. Unless you've customized it, OC 1.5.x won't work on PHP 7.1 - 7.3. You can safely switch the PHP version to test / check each site and if they don't work, switch your PHP version ba...

Did you try clearing the Opencart cache files? Yes, the same error persists. Re: SSL and Categories

Have you tried adding a 301 redirect in your .htaccess file to force SSL?

Under RewriteBase / you can try this:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]

Re: PHP7.2

If possible, install a copy of your current site in a sub domain and use MultiPHP Manager to set the subdomain to PHP 7.2 and test thoroughly. If you are running OC 2.3.0.2 or newer you should be fine. Modules are the only thing that may cause an issue so remember to test it all.

Hi Guys.
Just to update you on how I fixed the issue.
I moved to a new hosting and didn't change a thing, and everything started to work... SO... NOT SURE what's up with A2..

And the irony is, they advertise on OpenCart.com
Glad you got it resolved. Who did you move to?

Re: Which 3.x.x opencart version is the most stable? Or better to install later?

I would rank v2.3.0.2 as #1 and I personally think the 1.5.6.x and lower branches need to be removed and retired now.
