While this is good for legit browsers but bad actors or bad bots won't care about it.
That's the "nature" of bad * * * (whatever) .. O0

But good to write it down here, because sometimes simple users mean with such actions everything is okay!

Re: Max User Connections Error in OpenCart 3.0.4.0 with PHP 8.3 - Seeking Help

Could be that your website is being bombarded with too many requests coming from unwanted crawlers and bots. You can find out from the server's raw access logs. Often a simple crawl-delay in the .htaccess, e.g. User-agent: * Crawl-delay: 5 can make a difference. I guess that should be added into th...

Hello, and welcome to this forum. One step I'm missing is, have you also checked the log files? Mean the one of opencart (error.log) as well as the server log for any entries? Images in the store front (catalog) are always be cached before they are displayed. The path to these images should be there...

A new OC3 version is on the way that also will support php8.4. It might also be worth while waiting for that.
v.3.0.4.1 works well with php 8.4.8

Re: Best practice for new installation

I for myself do not use cPanel, have Plesk where such a task is a matter of 2 seconds.
In cPanel it should also be possible, it's only a pointer to the directory .. but maybe one of the user here using cPanle can help you better.

Hi, I need to install fresh copy of opencart on a server already running an opencart site. The idea is that this fresh copy will ultimately go live and replace the old site. Re: OpenCart 3.0.x.x PHP versions support

If you do switch it to require later PHP 8 versions, I would suggest making it OpenCart 3.0.5.0 or 3.1.0.0 instead. That way you could say "use OpenCart 3.0.4.1 if you're using PHP 7 to 8.1, or OpenCart 3.0.5.0/3.1.0.0 for PHP 8.2 or later". Not sure if others agree, but a major PHP requi...

Re: Will OC 3.0.3.6 run on MYSQL 8.0 and PHP 7.3?

No, it will not.
To be more precise, it will, but you will get many messages about incompatibility because of the php-version.

Using php 8.x you have to use the latest 3.0.4.1 release: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... load_id=79

Maybe correct, but creating a "Banner" with HTML is not possible.
But creating any HTML content and assinging that to a position as banner is s possibility (the way I would do it ..)

Is it possible to put HTML content in a banner?
Of course .. simple switch to edit mode > add HTML > switch back to normal view - control the output, if correct save.
Note: when saving any HTML-module and the text window is not in normal mode, the content will not nbe saved!
