JSON.parse error upgrading from 2.0.1.1

Can anyone suggest why I encountered this error when upgrading from 2.0.1.1 to 2.2.0.0? I do have VQMod installed.

Miscalculated postage to UK from US?

My first order to the UK went through today, and the postage charged to the customer was just over half what it cost me to mail. I'm using First-Class Package International Service at the USPS website (my only option online other than Priority), which I would assume translates to First Class Mail In...

Re: New module in the folder, but Dashboard doesn't see it

I tried to discuss it with the developer, but they only wanted my FTP so they could fix it. They never did. I'm not sure why it's coded so poorly, but even I can see it is.

Re: New module in the folder, but Dashboard doesn't see it

Further down the trail..... I have created a language file for it. The module file(s) and js are in place. Dashboard sees it by the correct name now. I can install it, but when I try to edit, I'm told "page not found". I see the proper name for this module in my address bar, so it should be correct....

Re: New module in the folder, but Dashboard doesn't see it

Hold on... taking a second look at what you said. Are you saying the php file that came with this module needs to be in that folder as well? It came in a single php file, in a single folder, for catalog/controller/module. That's what the author provided. I've learned that in order to even cause an e...

Module with Fixed Price Options - is there such a thing?

I sell photographic prints in five sizes. I want the sizes to have fixed prices in Options, where I can change the price on one option at will and have it reflect across all products using that option. Better yet to have an option set that I can drop onto each new product, since they will all be pri...

Re: New module in the folder, but Dashboard doesn't see it

This still doesn't make sense to me. I am on a live server, and every change I make to the store goes live. All but what I can see in the Dashboard. Update: I managed to get the module into the proper folders (directions only mentioned one folder, not including Admin directory). Now I can see it in ...

Re: New module in the folder, but Dashboard doesn't see it

I think I am seeing what you mean. I tested removal of the Amazon button module (not active), and even with it gone from the server it's still visible in the Dashboard.

Re: New module in the folder, but Dashboard doesn't see it

Is there a percentage for when every other module appears? :)

I'm on a live server, the store is live, files I edit through my FTP client go live. Everything should be correct. I will look into the config.php.

I'm seeing no mention of the modules directory. Shouldn't there be such?

New module in the folder, but Dashboard doesn't see it

What would prevent my dashboard from seeing a legitimate new php module file placed in the correct folder? It's there, permissions are 644, everything should work. The dashboard just doesn't see it.

Re: Where can I edit "Sort by:"?

OK, put the following lines in place of what you took out: <div class="col-md-2 text-right"></div> <div class="col-md-3 text-right"></div> That still leaves the list/grid thing gumming up alignment. Can I insert those lines below it, too? edit.... I found the right text, it was above. Edited out th...

Re: Where can I edit "Sort by:"?

fido-x,

I did just that. On my first attempt (!) it went away, but the result was a slightly jumbled set of boxes for my items. The rows were disordered. That was because the grid/row/compare thing was still there. With that edited out, now it defaults to a list. That's fine. Thanks!

Re: Where can I edit "Sort by:"?

No, I'm talking about the box that appears on category pages. It just says "Sort by:", and has a pull-down menu. including Default, Name, Price, Rating and Model. I can't find a way to edit these options, or even to eliminate that pull-down.

Where can I edit "Sort by:"?

The pulldown menu has options I would like to remove. Where can I edit this? I don't find it under any layout option.

Re: Can the word "Manufacturer" be changed?

Site map is clear, or rather it contains the language I want it to. You mentioned earlier how it's not so user friendly to set up this store. I might have thought so if I hadn't already tried several of the other carts available (free and commercial). I'm pretty happy with this one so far. There are...

Re: Can the word "Manufacturer" be changed?

Let me know what you find. Also, I think I found out how to change the address bar so it won't show "Manufacturer". At this file... /catalog/controller/common/footer.php I found this line of code $data['manufacturer'] = $this->url->link('product/manufacturer'); I changed mine to $data['manufacturer...

Re: Can the word "Manufacturer" be changed?

That is where I changed the word from brands to what I wanted.

I'm looking at editing the Layouts, and this seems like a more promising route. Much to learn there, but it does seem to be where this can be changed. Manufacturers is a built-in route. I probably need to create a new one.

Re: Can the word "Manufacturer" be changed?

As to visitors to my store will see, the word "manufacturer" will only show in the address bar or in a hover. That isn't anything major, other than the fact I am selling products I make, in three distinct categories (the attributes). Since what I sell is photographs of different subjects, the subjec...

Re: Can the word "Manufacturer" be changed?

I have created attribute groups already, but that doesn't serve the purpose. It doesn't change the word Manufacturer anywhere. All it gives me is a list of links on the address bar (what I wanted them to do).
