Re: Admin Panel Bot Attack

You could also use an htpasswd on that directory, so that only you can access it.

Re: Restrict certain shipping methods

Restrict Shipping Methods . It doesn't modify the admin panel in any way, you set up the restrictions directly in the extension. For example, to limit UPS Ground to only appear when one of the "2nd Day" products is NOT in the cart, you'd use a restriction like this: --------------------------------...

Re: Payment error message (but successful order)`

Based on the code right above that error message, it would appear that the "paymentStatus" part of the response isn't meeting one of the cases in the code (e.g. SUCCESS, FAILED, etc.). Thus, the $order_status_id variable doesn't get set, which is why those error messages appear. Try logging the $mes...

Re: Coupons can be used multiple times

Coupon counts are only decremented when the order meets one of the Processing or Complete order statuses, as set in System > Settings. My guess is that you're testing the same coupon with an order that does not meet one of those statuses, so its count hasn't been decremented. Try changing the order ...

Re: Google Pay

Stripe can take Google Pay payments, and my Stripe Payment Gateway Pro supports both Apple Pay and Google Pay.

My Braintree Payment Gateway Pro will support it soon, once I have time to work on it.

Re: Creating one shipping extension with multiple options

Based on your code, I think you've missed setting the internal "code" value of each element in the array. It should match the array key that you're setting. I think this change should fix it: REPLACE: 'code' => 'universe.universe', WITH: 'code' => 'universe.universe' . $n, Also, your $method_data ar...

Re: all payment methods don't appear in checkout page OC 3.0.2.0

If you change the Geo Zone to "Egypt", then the shipping/payment extensions should only show up if the user chooses Egypt as their address. If the you're testing this with Egypt and it's not working, then you probably set up your geo zone wrong. Double-check that it's actually associated with Egypt ...

Re: Help installing the extension to prevent the russian fake customer/affiliate signups?

I have an Account Registration Captcha extension that can also prevent bot sign-ups. I don't offer free installation, but it's pretty easy to do yourself, and I'm always around to answer questions or take a look to see if you installed it correctly. If you do want me to install it for you, I charge ...

Re: Looking for search module for cars?

I've had people use my Dynamic Categories Module for this. You have to set up your categories and sub-categories properly, but once you do that, you can use it to narrow down a specific product based on year/make/model/etc. If you didn't want to modify your categories, you could also potentially do ...

Re: Remove Flat Shipping Rate when Free Shipping

There's no way without editing the code yourself, or using something like Total-Based Shipping to set up your rates. If you want to try the edit yourself, it would be something like this: IN: /catalog/model/extension/shipping/flat.php AFTER: function getQuote($address) { ADD: if ($this->cart->getSub...

Re: Custom shipping

Front-end language files are stored in /catalog/language/. You probably want to change the text in this file, since COD is a payment extension, not a shipping extension:

/catalog/language/YOURLANGUAGE/payment/cod.php
or
/catalog/language/YOURLANGUAGE/extension/payment/cod.php

Re: I think I have a problem with a bot.

Nobody knows at this point. There haven't been reports of actual security breaches, just a bunch of dummy accounts created. Maybe it *is* just for annoyance. :)

Re: I think I have a problem with a bot.

I also have a commercial Account Registration Captcha extension that affects both the customer and affiliate registrations. There are versions for all OpenCart 1.5.x and 2.x versions. I've seen a large increase in sales of it lately, likely because someone has created bot scripts targeting OpenCart ...

Re: Calculate tax on the sub total

The "Sub-Total" Order Total is only for totaling up the products in the cart, and should ALWAYS come first. Similarly, the "Total" Order Total is for totaling up all the line items on the order, and should ALWAYS come last. If you need an intermediate sub-total of previous line items, I do have an I...

Re: Contact us form

All OpenCart sites have a Contact Us page. The URL is like this:

www.yourdomain.com/index.php?route=information/contact

If your theme doesn't have a link to that form, ask the theme developer how to add one.

Re: Best Version of 2.3 to install

Ah, I see. I always use the official release links (since I need to know what other people are downloading for my extensions) but if it's the official 2.3.0.2 release, then it should work fine from github as well.

Re: Best Version of 2.3 to install

While I can't speak to the link posted above, my general policy is: don't ever use the github version for a live store. While it may have bugfixes, it also usually contains code updates for the next version, which are often not fully completed. You'll likely to experience issues if you use a github ...

Re: Category Quantity Discount Opencart 2.0.1.1

Category & Product-Based Fee/Discount can do this. You can set up a discount for a category of items, so if someone purchases 4+ of those items, they get a 20% discount on them. Note that this is an Order Total extension. Order Totals do not affect the price shown in the cart -- only "Special" pric...
