I'm curious to know: did you use the built-in Upgrade function? There were problems with that in the past but those were hopefully fixed in 4.1.0.0. I haven't had time to test it myself though.

I have never heard of anyone experiencing fraud by purchasing on opencart.com, so it's likely that your card info was compromised from some other site. However, you should report this directly to the OpenCart team so they are aware:

If they're just closing the ticket, it's possible they passed it off to the developer and considered it closed on their end. Make sure you say the developer is not responding and you want a refund. Also make sure that you have the right order_id value when you create the form --- they will need that...
