Re: What kind of search extension can suggest misspelling
Smart Search Pro can do this, which Mona linked to above. It has a "Did you mean...?" feature that will suggest alternate words if they exist in the database. TheKrotek is correct though, it's based on a dictionary of words created based on your database, so it doesn't truly know whether ...

Re: Warning: Install folder still exists and should be deleted for security reasons!
This means the /install/ directory still exists on your server. Someone could use that to re-install OpenCart, which is why it's a security risk. You can either rename that folder to something else, or delete it entirely (since you shouldn't need it again).

Re: Limit customer orders total (not one order, total orders max price)
As far as I know, Ultimate Restrictions is the only extension that can do this. It has rules to look at past orders, and can disable the checkout when the requirements are met. In your case, you'd want to make sure you don't allow guest orders (which would allow someone to easily work around the lim...

Re: Help finding a UPS shipping extension that uses UPS's new OAuth API (Client Id and Client Secret)
My UPS Pro extension uses the OAuth system (Client ID and Client Secret). It has a packing algorithm built in, can support multiple boxes, lets you adjust the weight/cost of each rate, and can do label printing. There is a demo link on the extension description, or you can visit the admin panel demo...

Re: SEO Url Not Working on opencart 4.0.1.1
It's almost a year since the release of OC v 4 and still, I can't use it in my live store. is opencart still worth using in 2023? Trust me, we're all frustrated with the status of 4.0. I'm not sure why it's taking so long to fix the bugs, but I'm hoping 4.0.2.0 will be stable enough to start recomm...

Re: SEO Url Not Working on opencart 4.0.1.1
I would strongly advise against using OpenCart 4.0 for a live store. There are still some bugs in the latest version, including a major one where order information is displayed from the product's current data, instead of the data at the time the order was placed. Until that is fixed, I would recomme...

Re: Show full price but only 30% deposit in cart
The easiest method would be to just add an Order Total extension that can give a 70% discount on the order. That way the ending total of the order is only 30%, and they can pay that amount using any payment method. It would end up looking like this, if you had Taxes or some other line item on the or...

Re: Unsure what master_id and override are for on V4
I believe those are used for product variants, which is a new thing in OpenCart 4.0. I haven't played around with it much, but you can click the dropdown icon on the far-right and it will say "Add Variant", and then you can create a variant of that product. Most variant data seems to be un...

Re: Gateway and merchant account
They both do essentially the same thing: accept credit/debit cards and then pay out to your bank. However, I will tell you that I know Braintree now has sales requirements to sign up, and they're pretty high. I think it was $500,000 USD in yearly sales last time I checked. Maybe that's changed, but ...

Re: "Fatal Error: Uncaught exception" after site moved to new hosting
"categories_viewed" and "online_plus" are not normal database tables, so some extension added those, and they aren't set up properly. Since it's OpenCart 1.5 it must be a vQmod extension, so go through your mods in /vqmod/xml/ and try disabling ones that might be related. (You ca...
