I'm seeing the same issue. I'll be monitoring this for a fix. Since the current stable version is only supported for the next 6 months, i hope they have a fix for this soon...

Makes notes field required for specific shipping method
Does anyone have an idea how to make the notes/comments field required for ONLY one of my shipping methods? I can find a few forums on how to make it required for all shipping methods, but not just one specific method. Thoughts? Thanks!
