Re: [RELEASED] Export/Import tool for OpenCart 1.5.0.x

It's odd that on my server the older version work fine, and the newer one doesn't. Initially I'd put the issue down to being some environment issue on my server, though maybe that's not the case. The Export/Import tools for OpenCart 1.5.1.x and 1.5.2.x are identical, so something else must be wrong...

Re: [RELEASED] Export/Import tool for OpenCart 1.5.0.x

Have you tried opening the file with OpenOffice? MS Office 2007 or later has some bugs as regards the support for XLS BIFF8 format, and, needless to say, trying to get Microsoft fix bugs is a futile exercise. Thanks for the quick reply. I tried opening the xls file in Excel 2007 but also in Libre O...

Re: [RELEASED] Export/Import tool for OpenCart 1.5.0.x

I've been having some problems with this. I've used previous versions of the extension before, and found it to be really great, so was keen to use it again. My OC version is 1.5.2.1 My php version is 5.3.6 I'm using the extension "opencart-1-5-2-x-export-import-6.zip" It all installed fine, but when...

Re: [vQmod] Information pages in top menu

This is a great mod, v handy, thanks r-win. I think I spotted a wee glitch in it though. Not intended as a criticism at all, but just to help anyone else who has the same problem. I'm using OC v1.5.1.2 by the way. So, the issue I spotted is that when you set an info to show in the main menu, by tick...

Thanks for the heads up rph, I see it, rev 686, be great when that's in the release. Nice work Q.

Re: What is the largest shop so far, any scaling issues?

I would definitely second... kill children counts. That gave me a ton of speed ...I have a shop on OC 1.5.1, it has 8000 products in 850 categories. Performance numbers on the standard code, out of the box on Ubuntu 11.10, 1.8GHz laptop with 2GB RAM... - Pages with the top menu (home page) the load ...

Bug / Feature request: Order edit, no tax recalculation

Hi Massive fan of OC, curent release, 1.5.1 even better than ever, muchos gracias as ever. I noticed a wee issue, not sure if this is a bug, or perhaps a feature request. When in admin, if you remove an item from an order, it does not recalculate the tax. So basically, once the item is removed the t...

Re: [1.5.0.5] Modules > Layout > Default

I was playing around with this for a wee while, looking for a solution for something like the original posts. Although I've used OC for a few years, it has mostly been with 1.3 and 1.4 lately. So I was pulled 1.5.1 down and started using it. At first I was a bit confused by the new layout stuff, bot...

Re: CKEditor Image add problem in second language

Hi Everyone I tried vinaecom's fix from Wed Jul 21, 2010 6:01 am, and clinton4's addendum from Wed Nov 24, 2010 4:21 am, and still have this issue. I also checked the permissions and that seemed ok. That said, it's been a long day, so I'll check this all tomorrow. I'd say there seems to be a bug wit...

Re: SagePay Server Payment Module

Did anyone have any thoughts on this since May? I can see this would be handy, and I'd be happy to write this module if someone would sponsor it's creation. I use the word "sponsor", rather than "pay" as I'd much prefer to write community centric GPL code. The multiple SagePay options are a bit conf...

Re: What is the largest shop so far, any scaling issues?

I've just noticed something with the big shop I'm working on just now, which I thought might be useful generally, so good to share. I'd noticed slow loading times on my host's server, but ok loading times on my local dev server. The shop is about to go live so I thought I'd better have a look into. ...

Re: Paypal (OC 1.2.8) -> no Order nor Email

On the missing PayPal callbacks, I'm seeing this too. It is an odd situation. It's on a shop that is hosted on Canaca, a hosting company based in Toronto. But the missing callbacks are from quite specific countries. about 20% of purchases from France are affected, and about 40% of purchases from Ger...

Re: What is the largest shop so far, any scaling issues?

Shame that didn't work. I know some hosts put a hard cap on these things, perhaps you're hitting that. I've used OpenCart on the web hosts Canaca, and they had unmovable caps on memory and execution.

Re: What is the largest shop so far, any scaling issues?

Only problem with this amount of products ive incurred so far, is the OC backup/restore function in the BO, always fails, as the execution time for php is too low, even when i increase it, and the memory size, it still fails. I have to get a backup manually from the web host. I had this issue too, ...

I had an idea for this that I just tried out, it kind of addresses... This doesn't work on Opencart 1.4.0. Any suggestions? ...and also... Re: What is the largest shop so far, any scaling issues?

Hi Andrew Sorry I missed your post, I skimmed all the titles of existing posts for scaling / large shop sort of chat, before I started this thread. Great to hear about your shop, not only is that a large number of items, but pretty high traffic volumes too. You mentioned... modifications like; query...

Re: What is the largest shop so far, any scaling issues?

My rather hacky solution for the images was to change the the field "image" in "admin/view/template/catalog/product_form.tmpl" on line 66, from type hidden to text. This means you can just type "data/myimage.jpg" in the new text box and hit save. I only did this hack/fix today, and I'm sure there is...

Re: What is the largest shop so far, any scaling issues?

Hi David Thanks for the reply, 9,000 products is a fair size shop, same order of magnitude. Glad to hear it's running ok. :) I've got all the products in now, and have been doing some testing. The only issue I've seen so-far is that you can't select an image for a product in the admin section, I thi...
