I having the same error "valid file.." when trying to import it.
It will upload if I dont edit anything, so I'm thinking its those fields like product_id, etc.
That I never have heard what to do with them?

The "product_id", column, number question.
The "product_id", column. The first column in the export file, where does that random number coming from? I can understand filling it all the other fields with the data I want, but do I leave that column blank? One other question... I didn't see any explanation on How-to upload the new dat...

Import/Export Tool 1.5.6.x error log Cannot find controller
I cant find the tool/export in 'Top Administrator' settings. But it shows up in the system menu, and of course I get the "Permission denied" error if i go there.
log file says:
2014-09-30 1:02:14 - Cannot find controller class file for route 'tool/export'
What am I missing?

How to add hundreds of products?
I have a product that has hundreds of items to list, if I added them manualy it would take me till the year 2020.
Can anyone comment on how to do this, there must be a script I can use to populate all the tables from a data file?
