Re: Running test opencart site on subdirectory - not all pages route correctly

When I removed the other .htaccess file from the root, I still get redirected to the live (root) pages from the subdirectory links. Difference being that I get a bunch of error messages as well For this example, I clicked on the "blog" menu item which I referenced earlier from the /oc2 site, it stil...

Re: Running test opencart site on subdirectory - not all pages route correctly

Ernie, I am running my live site on the root. I do not wish to remove the .htaccess file from the root as it would affect my live store. Is there an issue with running both as they are in separate directories? I wish my live store to be running from the root and my test store running from the /oc2 d...

Re: Running test opencart site on subdirectory - not all pages route correctly

Thanks very much Ernie. I appreciate all the time you take to help others out! Changing the links in the footer per your guidance. Wondering if you, or others, might know what is wrong with the links in my menu structure as well? I am using the Megamenu and the url for the blog is listed as: /index....

Running test opencart site on subdirectory - not all pages route correctly

I am sure this is a simple thing I am missing from spending too much time looking at it. I am running version 1.5.6.4 I have my live site running from the root directory. I have set up a subdirectory called "oc2" to do some testing on a new template before going live on the production site. Most thi...

HTTPS checkout page load time is over 1 minute

Hi guys, I am having a problem with my site whenever it reverts to a HTTPS page. Everything on my site loads in a reasonable time until it goes to call for the SSL pages....then everything goes to a crawl. It is so slow that I have had to take the HTTPS out of my config.php files for the time being ...

Re: customs duties & taxes

Thanks Jonathan. This looks very close to what I am looking for and will be buying it.

Out of curiosity, are there any plans to increase the number of countries that can be included in the formula-based rules?

Best regards,

Bob

customs duties & taxes

I have been searching for an answer to this problem I am having and hope someone has a suggestion for an extension or solution. Our store ( www.soffiab.com ) is based in the USA. We also wish to ship to other countries like the UK, but of course, these counties have import duties and taxes that must...

There is nothing wrong with Opencart's default one but it would give your shop a "unique" feeling.
Good thought. Thanks! I will get on that soon.

Re: Header font thickness changes

I've got your site open in Firefox and it is only with the oswald font. Arial and times new roman both show the font at the lighter weight. I always use a font family, rather than a single font. Helps avoid surprises if the browser doesn't recognize the primary font. Safari always gives me problems...

Thanks for this as well….You need to select "search in product descriptions" when you go to the search page for silk to show up in the search. Not very user friendly and I need to change this!

Re: Header font thickness changes

Its the oswald font - you can verify this by inspecting your text with Firebug or the Firefox element inspector. When I changed your font to arial or times new roman, the problem stopped. I changed it back to oswald and the problem returned. Let me know if you are unfamiliar with the inspector tool...

Header font thickness changes

The fonts on my website header appear to change thickness from page to page. I am using OC 1.5.1.3. If you look at my home page http://www.soffiab.com you will see that I am using Arial and Oswald in my top menus. If you look at the top of the page you will see that "Home, Information, Contact Us, e...

Welcome feedback on our new Luxury Retailer site

Been working on this OC 1.5.1.3 site for a while. It was originally based on the Spicylicious theme, but has been heavily modified since the original site went up.

Love to get any feedback or insights from the group! It can be found at http://www.soffiab.com.

Thank you!
