I just found out that the description will be displayed if there is a picture set for the category. So I guess I can call this topic solved. :-)

You are right. I did not see it at first. There is a code that is inserted with a shortcode in the mail and an option to activate the code once the review is done.

I am stuck with the samme question and also on 1.5.6. I have also read somewhat conflicting posts that it maybe was implemented in 1.5.4 or 1.5.3 even.
