Enabled Browser Cache - now getting refresh issues?

OC3.0.2.0 running Journal3 I've just added Browser caching into the HTACCESS file to speed our site up. It's certainly made a difference to speed, but it has introduced a few issues. If you have a product in the basket and you go to the basket to change the quantity or even delete the product, the b...

Re: [v3.x] - pagination fix

@Straightlight. I've modified the file as above. Checked the htaccess file and there are no re-directs, but I'm still getting this error. It appears on the top of invoices when I view an order to print - which is a bit of a problem. :o Any ideas?

Re: OC: Hosting?

@Uksitebuilder - Hi. Currently just less than 2000 products and 112 categories. It's a small store.

@thekrotek. I never professed to being an OC or MYSql expert. But I can follow instructions. If there are any.

Re: OC: Hosting?

Thanks for that. For someone that knows nothing, I seem to have been doing just fine for the last 30 years.

Re: Extension needed: Category specific product images

Good points. So it seems the simplest way is going to be duplicating products and changing the images :-\

Re: OC: Hosting?

I installed your database cache. It crashed our site - both front-end and back end admin. I manually removed the files through FTP and site still down. the host is currently performing a complete restore from a backup yesterday :-\

Re: OC: Hosting?

Thanks for the reply. I should have said - we are running OC3.0.2.0 with Journal3. So that post doesn't work for us. If Optimised the dbase via PHPMyadmin already. We tried Nitro on OC2.3.0.2 + Journal 2 & it caused so many issues we eventually removed it and had to completely re-installed the site....

OC: Hosting?

We are constantly having problems with site speed (sometimes takes >20 secs to load). Front end or admin can both be affected. This impact sales. Does anyone have a view on good UK hosts that are optimised for OC? I can see there are a few that claim to be recommended for OC but don't want to make t...

Re: Option Usage?

Thanks. I tried that but it returned Zero values and the message below?

Code: Select all

select pd.name, po.value from oc_product_description pd join oc_product p on p.product_id = pd.product_id join oc_product_option po on po.product_id = p.product_id where po.value like '%Preferred Print Colour%'

Option Usage?

Is there any way to know what products are assigned with a specific option without having to look at every product individually? Ideally look at the Options list and find out what products are assigned to the option. We've 100s of options and have some duplicates over the years :-\ Thanks in advance...

Re: Extension needed: Category specific product images

Honestly. No clue ??? I was hoping that some bright spark somewhere had created a magical extension that would solve the problem for me & save me having to create so many duplicate products :-\

Re: Extension needed: Category specific product images

Exactly right. I have >1,000 products that need to have a product image that is specific to the category they are in. Only the image is different, the description, models, pricing & discounts are all the same. Hence the question as I don't want to duplicate a product into multiple areas just to chan...

Re: Group Discounts not visible?

Looks like the fix that daniGo suggested is working. I've tested a couple of customers and they were fine! Going to test a few more.

Extension needed: Category specific product images

Has anyone seen an extension that might allow the same product in multiple categories, but with the product images tailored to each category?
I don't want to re-create the 1000's of products multiple times just to have different images per category.

Re: Group Discounts not visible?

OK here goes: - A fresh install of OC3.0.2.0 was installed but we didn't test every piece of functionality to ensure it worked. - Journal2 and 4 other extensions were added. We then noticed the issue. - At the time the group discounts would not work on the front end or the back-end - The 4 were remo...

I paid one to upgrade us from OD2.3.0.2 to 3.0.2.0 and this problem appeared. We didn't have it on OC2.3.0.2 :-\
