Re: Are enhancement suggestions ever adopted?
I've been following this project since 0.something or other and it's still going strong - and, if anything, Daniel has mellowed over the years :) https://github.com/opencart/opencart/issues/1062 ...As it stands now, the shipping module options are very limited and clumsy. http://forum.opencart.com/...

Re: Are enhancement suggestions ever adopted?
The way he coded OpenCart is pretty clean, except for that bit of repetitive. So there's nothing much to worry about. Qphoria made a pretty good explanation on the things too, you should have a read on his comments. Also, should OpenCart stop being maintained (I doubt so), the source codes are stil...

Re: Are enhancement suggestions ever adopted?
Look at this thread. http://www.techchattr.com/never-use-opencart How is OpenCart management structured? I think they should kick out Kerr or the developers should fork the project and move on. Daniel Kerr is the most unprofessional and foul loud-mouth person in the FOSS community I've come across. ...

Re: Protect Downloads
Be certain that your zero-byte (or a 44-byte) /download/index.html is in place, and that .htaccess in the root prohibits viewing directory content, so that the most they would be able to shop for is index.html and see preferably only white. You were spot on with this suggestion, butte. Thank you. F...

Re: Protect Downloads
I resolved this. Problem was a combination of .htaccess not there and misconfiguration on my part. Thanks for the input. Jump to postMarketInSG wrote: can someone so easily guess the uploaded file's name. Also, change your download directory and they won't find it too

Are enhancement suggestions ever adopted?
I just had an exchange with an OpenCart developer on Github for an enhancement I submitted. Not only was it rejected without proper discussion on it's validity, but I was insulted. https://github.com/opencart/opencart/issues/1062 danielkerr: i think you shouldn't bother posting here again! the probl...

Re: Payment error on recurring billing
According to devs: https://github.com/opencart/opencart/issues/1059 You need to use a payment gateway option that supports recurring payments. At this time (on 1.5.6) PayPal express checkout is the only option. More are being added for 2.0 The Authorize.net module does not yet support recurring paym...

[RESOLVED] Display Profile Price, not Product Price
I love the product profiles features, but I'm confused on it's usage. I want to set up a subscription at 4.95/month. So, I create a product priced at 4.95. I then create two profiles, 4.95/monthly and 48.00/yearly. I now have two questions. First, when selecting the profile on the product page, the ...

[RESOLVED] Protect Downloads
Is there any way to protect downloads from download unless a valid purchase has been made (ie, a specially formatted URL that both verifies the download and provides a page to actually download the file)? Right now I can download a file if I know the name. What kind of joke is that? If not, then why...
