We need a public beta release

While there have been some improvements with regards to OCMOD in the current master branch (4.1.0.1), some new changes were introduced, and chances are there will be more bugs. I just installed the current master branch on March 20, 2025, and it took me only a few minutes of quick testing to come ac...

Re: OpenCart 4.1 remove from url "?route=product/product&language="

Just tested it with en-gb and de-de language packs for the master branch, and the SEO urls are fine now for different languages.

Re: Search Results for products with part of SKU - Journal 3.0.3.2

This forum thread is several years old, and the OP probably has resolved the issue since then. Besides, this forum is for OpenCart, for Journal3 use their support . The Journal3 framework uses its own search functionality anyway. Also, we strongly recommend to use a proper standard-compliant web the...

Re: OpenCart 4.1 remove from url "?route=product/product&language="

In that case you could test it with the current master branch, to see whether this issue still exists or not.

Re: Upgrading to 4.1 from 4.0.2.3, Error line 9

There is never going to be a perfect upgrade tool, simply because of too many poor quality extensions. Extensions don't even have built-in upgrades either, not even a simple version support checker.

Seems like they are having issues with Journal theme as can be seen from their other post here: viewtopic.php?t=235361
In which case the OP should have contacted the Journal support.

Re: Multiple Issues with checkout - 3.0.3.6

In general, don't use the Journal3 framework, use a proper OpenCart with a standard-compliant theme.

Re: Category mega menu

Hello everyone, I've just launched a new website and I'm encountering my first issue. I've created two mega menu categories. Now, when I add a subcategory to the second category, it also appears in the first category. I'm not sure if there's a connection between them. I'd appreciate any help, as I'...

Re: Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x / 3.x / 4.x

Try the current version 4.17.4 of the Export/Import tool, there were a number of bugfixes.
Also bear in mind that OpenCart 4.0.2.3, like unfortunately all of the current OpenCart 4 versions, aren't yet suitable for a live site, still under heavy development.

Re: a duplicate transaction has been submitted (journal theme)

Or you should really use OpenCart, not the Journal3 framework. Therefore, try with a fresh install of OC 3.0.4.0, and tell us what exact payment methods you use.

Re: Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x / 3.x / 4.x

Hi, I am having some problems while using the Export/Import module. Not enough details here to help you. For a start, go to the Version Info tab, what does it say? Are you actually using the latest version of the Export/Import tool which includes recent fixes for the ProductSEOKeywords worksheet?

Re: No star rating on featured home page

There used to be a bug in the featured.twig file in OC 3.0.3.8, see this bugfix on how to resolve it.

Re: tag manager extensions

You are right about the noscript not needed here, since Javascript is always required for OpenCart anyway. I prefer the simpler gtag.js script for GA4, e.g. something like this, in the <head> section : <!-- Google tag (gtag.js) --> <script async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=...

Re: Has anyone developed a command line script to download the xml for OCMods?

I had a thought about OCMods and how it'd be nice to run from the command line a script that you tell it the "code" or "name" of the OCMod and it retrieves the XML. Before I tackle this does anyone know if this is already out there? Mike You can use PHPMyAdmin for this, just see...

Re: tag manager extensions

Yes, as far as I remember, it's the noscript tag going into the <body> section for the tag manager, e.g. something like this: <head> <!-- Google Tag Manager --> <script>(function(w,d,s,l,i){w[l]=w[l]||[];w[l].push({'gtm.start': new Date().getTime(),event:'gtm.js'});var f=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]...

Re: tag manager extensions

Admin : Extension =>Extension => Analytics Google Analytics That is where you add the code for google analytics Not good for the tag manager, which needs two scripts, one in the <head> section, another in the <body> section. The whole issue is Google Tag Manager itself which is extremely user-unfri...

Re: OpenCart Marketplace API Key Too Long – "Signature hash does not match" Error

Why not go directly to the OpenCart marketplace and find your wanted extensions from there? Besides, OC 4.1.0.0 has quite a number of known bugs, reported on github, and shouldn't be used for a stable live website yet. For a stable release, use OC 3.0.4.0, or wait for the upcoming 4.1.0.1.
