Re: [RELEASED] Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x / 3.x

Just comment out the offending line. Or better, switch to a decent webhost, because yours seem to have an overly restrictive PHP setup. Also, do the Export/Import in smaller batches to avoid potential memory or timeout issues.

Re: [RELEASED] Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x / 3.x

Thanks for the help. The problem was I'd renamed my admin folder so the /admin files didn't go in the right place. EDIT: stupid question but where am I supposed to access the tool? Having enabled the permissions I don't see it under the System dropdown. Is this something to do with my renamed admin...

Re: [RELEASED] Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x / 3.x

Thanks for sharing this tool. I'm trying to export data from a 1.5.6.4 site and import it into a 2.3.0.2 site. On the most recent version I installed the tool correctly. However, on my older 1.5.6.4 site I don't see "tool/export_import" in the user group permission selector menus. I have VQMod inst...

Re: Simple Opencart upgrade ?

We have done many upgrades to the new OpenCart 3.x releases, or from 1.5.x to 2.x releases, but these upgrades were never done the OpenCart way. We usually save our products and customer data in spreadsheets, using the Export/Import tool, and then do a complete new OpenCart install, including all of...

Re: [RELEASED] Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x / 3.x

The header for the 'Products' worksheet, and possibly for other worksheets, will be slightly different between different OpenCart versions. Do an Export first off your new OC 3.x, and then use the resulting worksheet to paste the old data into it's worksheets, and then import.

Re: [v3.0.2.0 - Concept] - jQuery alert commands

I don't agree with your proposal. Merely commenting out the Javascript alert calls isn't enough. If there are failed Ajax calls then this is a serious condition, e.g. it could be a sign that the server is down. and for these circumstances the end user should see a clear error message on his screen!

Re: [RELEASED] Override Engine for OpenCart

OK, I narrowed it down: There is a bug in file system/pdf_invoice_pro.ocmod.xml on line 59. This ocmod xml script modifies the catalog/controller/checkout/confirm.php, to load the 'shipping/free' model which doesn't exist in OC 2.3.0.2. It looks like this extension hasn't been ported to OC 2.3.0.2, ...

Re: [RELEASED] Override Engine for OpenCart

I think you must have modified something with your checkout sequence causing this error.

Have you modified the catalog/model/extension/shipping/free.php ?

The main image path goes into the 'Products' sheet, see column 'image_name'.

Re: error when try to upload extenion using extension installer in admin backend

The same is true for VQmod: the after attribute means to insert after the line which has a match of the search expression. the search expression doesn't have to match the whole line.

Re: error when try to upload extenion using extension installer in admin backend

The install.xml file is fine, the OCMOD after attribute means to insert something after the line which has a match of the search expression. The search expression does not have to specify a whole line.

Re: I can't use multi-line search in Opencart 3.0.2.0 ocmod system !!!!

You should consider alternatives. Using a multi-line search is a bad idea to start with in the first place. Both OCmod and VQmod should only be used as a last resort for core file modifications.

Re: How to contact Journal Theme developer?

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We too had to recently deal with the Oxy theme on a customer's website, and it's indeed closer to Opencart theme standards. It would be good to compile a list of OpenCart themes which are actually more standard compliant.

Re: Help: Session Exchange. What?

For an OpenCart system you should always ensure a server affinity which is the ability of a load balancer or router to send a user's request to the same server where their session was initiated. As far as I know OpenCart does not support session-failovers.

Re: How to contact Journal Theme developer?

A web theme shouldn't have to directly replace any OpenCart core file, if it does then there is something fundamentally wrong. At the most it may modify just a few files, mainly *.tpl ones, via OCmod. Ask the author for more specifics, e.g. why they have to directly replace 3 core files, and which o...

Re: How to contact Journal Theme developer?

JNeuhoff, your advise is kind of along the lines of the questions I wanted to ask the Journal devs. I had read the thread you linked to from memory I think the final conclusion was that there is no certification system to say wether or not a theme abides by Opencart standards and Journal seemed to ...
