Re: ocmod and/or vqmod

You could use the Integrated VQmod extension. This is basically a modified OCmod, to also allow for the VQmod XML syntax. They both use the same cache.

Re: OC3 Setup running very slowly

You are getting the occasional Internal Server 500 error. Also, you are using Journal2, one of the most cumbersome OpenCart themes.

For a process of elimination, to narrow down the issue with the slowness, temporarily switch to the OpenCart default theme, to see whether it makes any difference.

Re: OPENCART 3.0.3.2 THEME

And Journal quite deviates from OpenCart standards. It will clash with many 3rd party OpenCart extensions. See also this: https://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?t=157098 A good web theme will mainly be based on a modified stylesheet, and some modified and/or different theme images, with very few, ...

Re: Product page not appearing

Nobody can help you, you are not providing enough details. E.g. do you have a URL for the faulty product page? Do you have any error messages in your OpenCart error log? Or, more importantly, in case of a Internal Server Error 500, have you asked you webhost for the exact server's error log entries ...

Re: [SOLVED - v3.0.3.1 - Fix] - PayPal Express Checkout

@Straightlight: Please bear in mind that PayPal's SHIPTOSTATE simply don't have a proper matching with OpenCart's zone. I think that a SHIPTOSTATE can only be guaranteed to have a unique value within a given SHIPTOCOUNTRYCODE. In the case of the UK, the mappings between SHIPTOSTATE and OpenCart's zo...

Re: [SOLVED - v3.0.3.1 - Fix] - PayPal Express Checkout

@Straightlight: First of all, thank you very much for all the hard work you put into fixing the issues with PayPal Express, much appreciated. As regards the UK Zones: Paypal uses different ones (e.g. there is no 'Middlesex' UK zone in OpenCart). Also, on the PayPal end, the selection of a zone is op...

Re: 50MB Sessions Table?

This is a known issue caused by OpenCart, it doesn't call the Session.gc method for clearing the 'oc_session' table off old entries, hence this DB table gets bloated. See https://github.com/opencart/opencart/is ... -480609923 for a quick bugfix.

So far, there's nothing wrong with the code that would interfere with the features as compared to the original files. Feel free to try this fix with a solid PCI server.
Have you also had a chance to take a look at this PayPal Express issue?

Re: 3.0.3.x Issues and Bugs

This solution may become handy and final for all OC developers: https://github.com/opencart/opencart/pull/7153 . I also covered a feedback at the bottom of that topic for Windows path compatibility. The downside is, either the people that does see this post may have to agree to install it (or being...

Re: 3.0.3.x Issues and Bugs

And - not to forget - the event system. If both are understood (and used) by the majority of those so called 'developers', the life - especially of users - would be much easier. Where possible, event handlers should be used rather than XML-based modification systems. Unfortunately, Daniel has made ...

Re: Simplica - Free OpenCart Theme

Not bad, much better than many of the so-called 3rd party web themes.

The only odd thing about this theme is the usage of an OCmod XML script which modifies among others its own 'common/cart.twig' and 'common/footer.twig'.
