Re: Support for / Compliance with WCAG accessibility standard
I am doing a proposal/quote for an eCommerce site that has UK Public Sector usage. The specification is that support for the WCAG v2.1 standard is mandatory - as in "if you can't meet this your proposal will be filed in the round container, yes the one on the floor beside my desk". :) . We...

Re: support accessibility standard AA (WCAG Section 508)
Did anyone / Does anyone have any knowledge about these WCAG standards? I am doing a quote for a client who have mandated WCAG compliance. I plan to buy the necessary themes and a few extensions. I'll be using paid support (vendors yet to be chosen), but if I can't get through WCAG compliance I get ...

Support for Internet Explorer
Is internet Explore v11 supported ? Hopefully it is. :) I've set up OC v3 as a new vanilla install - all with basic default settings. Using Firefox (the old one that supports all my extensions) everything works perfect. I've also got ie11 running so that I can be logged in twice. Using ie11 (as a cu...

Apparent "Bug/fault" with OpenCart's Checkout Process - Fix and Diagnosis.
here is a fix provided for me by victorj :) Situation I completed a fresh plain vanilla install of OC and the checkout bit of OC wouldn't work, even when using a simple "bank transfer" payment method the checkout cart would hang. This was installed on a shared hosting environment which I k...

Error checking failure within the OC installer: Failure to check PHPmail permissions
Hi, I persevered with OC because I had v1.5 and it was excellent. If I was a new user, I'd have ditched OC as buggy software. This is because the OC installer didn't detect a hosting permission problem, installed ok but wouldn't process orders. I have a "default" shared hosting setup. I ma...

Re: OpenCart extensions refund policy
Maybe, but I've bought naff extensions that didn't work more than once. Most annoying of all is when developers post "extension bundles" and one finds the version in the bundle doesn't do what the version tested did, or you discover some function doesn't quite work but don't find that unti...

Re: clean forums more
Forums are a useless and pointless waste of effort; cool for social chit chat but that's it. Try finding a solution to a problem........ bit like that needle in the haystack. Frustratingly, the info is there, and the quality of contributions is great, but they get hi-jacked with change of topic, peo...

Re: Some Orders Missing - Authorize.net
is there any way to validate data entry and prevent people from entering a comma - this will mess up anyone's offline order processing if it uses export via CSV. I plan to use CSV files to export addresses to my courier............ and don't want stock going to timbuktoo, wherever that is. ideally, ...

Re: OC wiki
The long rambling post simply servers to explain why we need a wiki. Most posts in OC end up getting of topic, then descend into chit-chat, obscuring the original question and hiding the gems of wisdom from the 1:5 answers that were worth reading and/or excellent answers. Finally, We have mixtures o...

Re: Multi-User capability
Doesn't that relate to multiple employees by the webstore ? eg used for order processing tasks. I'm talking about multiple employees hired by a customer of the webstore, so that if Jon, George and Fred all work for "my town's photography" and they bought camera equipment, their employer &q...

OC wiki
There is an awful lot of knowledge in these forums, but it is impossible to find it and no one distill it down into an authoritative "this is how to do that" set of articles that are searchable / cross referenced. How about a wiki as part of support based on the media-wiki platform or simi...

Multi-User capability
I'd like to see a basic multi-user capability. The scenario is when 3 or 4 people at a customer's business wish to share a single OC account so that their shopping history is all in a single account vs 4 separate accounts. This might be something as simple as implement a distribution list e.mail fac...

Re: Request for more Positions...
Sarchasm gets people nowhere. Many addi's add a small (say 1/3 of screen width) dialogue box. Placing in columns messes up the shop layout, placing content top or bottom wastes screen real-estate. I have had to hide user options away in little used views for this reason. It would be nice if we could...

Re: Shipping Delivery Range
I bought Delivery date pro. Still getting ready to launch but very happy so far. I can stipulate minimum lead or exclude certain delivery dates (eg shutdowns etc). Doesn't do estimated dates, but that's just saying time to delivery is between x and y days.

Re: How to change order_id for Invoice number
After struggling thru and getting to it to work i established the following. 1. Order ID can only ever be a number (ie its set to data type integer). 2. If you want letters, then use invoice numbers - I suspect that invoice numbers also have to be intergers (numbers) but you can put letters / symbol...

Re: How to change order_id for Invoice number
I've run the myPHP command and that works well for numeric orderID's. I'm not sure what /how to get Alpha-numeric's for an order ID, not just integers. For example, if I wanted OC-1000 and counting. I'm planning to copy the order ID into the invoice field (don't need these to be different, but want/...
