Re: v1.3.5 Soon

1 thing left slowing me down. IE6! Trying to get the templates to match up. Technology is the key. Sorry but since IE8 arrived I no longer test in 6. I expect people to want improvement and advancement. Working for IE6 is like continuously repairing the body of a 20 year old car and constantly brid...

Re: v1.3.5 Soon

my work place has ie6 as the standard browser and it employs about 10,000 people. they even have a few NT4 machines that they wont upgrade. Do you work for IBM, Virgin, Corus, HSBC, Nationwide or Microsoft? I know the feeling I use to work for a BlueChip (BlueShit) company and they had similar poli...

Re: v1.3.5 Soon

Right, I shouldn't have mentioned anything about CMS. Baker, Wolf, Frog??? What next Donkey? Just so I have an idea of what's going on I will test the top three which i take it are Joomla, Baker and Simple. But before that I want to poke my nose around the "BIG RELEASE", is it ready yet? What about ...

Re: v1.3.5 Soon

one more mention of crappy CMS' and I may be forced to do some temp banning Mr Q It seems you have been investigating CMSs, so tell me all about them in a nutshell so I know weather to bother myself. Funny Joomla was mentioned I was just on the site trying to make heads or tail around the hype. I c...

Re: v1.3.5 Soon

...Go download yourself a copy of SilverStripe 2.3.4 and have some fun with that for a while, while you wait on Open Cart 1.3.5. :D Or if you're really feeling adventurous, download 2.4.0 alpha and have it a go. ;D You are totally merciless, I still can't get my head round CMS, simply because there...

Re: v1.3.5 Soon

I can't sleep, eat, drink or do a number two on the toilet. Lets put the download server under as much stress as we did Dan the man. I think this could be easily one of the longest thread on this forum. If it isn't released today i will wake up tomorrow upset, stressed, hungry and needing therapy. D...

... Sure appreciate all your work Daniel! From now on, every shopping cart quote I give to a potential client is going to factor in a donation for your work. Awesome! Re: v1.3.5 Soon

I was excited when magento was announced. All the features they had sounded great. When the first release came out I put it on my local dev server and it was taking like 15+ sec to render a page over the lan. So I waited. They finally fixed the speed somewhat so I did one customer site on it and I ...

Re: v1.3.5 Soon

Def. horizontal. Another quick thing, the guy who mentioned Magento, please note the difference in support for these products, OC hasn't got different versions with different level of support so I am sure OC would be better overall than the community version of Magento. The Enterprise version cost a...

Re: Option - Option Value - Enlighten Me Please

Hi goldfinchpcs, I have to make a comment on this! The product option function works great!! Qphoria's explanation how you should use it can not be misunderstood, very nicely explained! And if you search the forum you also can find how to change the options to show the total price instead of the op...

Re: Option - Option Value - Enlighten Me Please

Well, no your example is just strange. I have no idea what you are trying to do. You keep making it seem that people will use options to buy multiple sizes at once. It seems you are selling "bottles of something"... so I will use "perfume" as the example 1. Create Product: Chanel No. 5 - $50.00 2. ...

Re: Option - Option Value - Enlighten Me Please

Yes, by design you buy the "Product" then choose the size you want. You buy a phone and choose 1 color You buy a hat and choose 1 size so in your case, you buy a bottle, and choose 1 size (ml) If the customer wants diff sizes, they choose the option (50ml) click add to cart then choose 150ml and ad...

Re: Option - Option Value - Enlighten Me Please

Yes, determine your base price then determine how much your upgrades are. Base = $10 (4oz bottle) 10oz bottle + $6 20oz bottle + $12 I have tried this guys but in the shopping cart it shows Base + 10oz bottle + 20oz bottle as $28.00 total when you add the item to cart. Not $10 or $16 or $22 each. A...

Re: Option - Option Value - Enlighten Me Please

I think my questions were misunderstood. The main thing I wanted to clarify was the issue about product options. Is there a way for the customers to see one description but then have the option of selecting varied sizes. I have listed a site below that has this function on the page. You have a choic...

Option - Option Value - Enlighten Me Please

1) I am adding some products to the catalogue and under the option tag - there is "Option" "Sort Order" "Option Value" "Price" "Prefix" "Sort Order" I have a product that has 4 different sizes 150ml 250ml 500ml and 1L I place each of these as an additional option, however, they cannot be selected in...
