Re: Incorrect rounding on multiples of line items & subtotals in foreign currencies.
or you could make sure that the Xero integration adopts/adheres/takes into account to the way OC does it. Yeah, we've basically had to do that - we've got a line item just for rounding. It's a messy way to do it, and not great accounting practice. Xero anticipates all sorts of possible rounding iss...

Talking about single cents, what a World, we live in ... ::) https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension&filter_search=round It's not about the single cents, it's about the opportunity cost lost in fixing it. We're working on near-complete automaton of the business ow...

Re: Incorrect rounding on multiples of line items & subtotals in foreign currencies.
It's only really a problem because we sync our sales to Xero, and Xero spits back an error if the calcs are wrong. We've had to introduce an adjustment line item to deal with it, which we didn't previously. I suspect our previous developer who created a bespoke Xero integration re-did the calcs in t...

Incorrect rounding on multiples of line items & subtotals in foreign currencies.
Hi there, I help run a store shipping physical products from the UK to customers all over the world. We've been operating in some version of OpenCart since around 2012, and have recently migrated to v3.0.3.2. The base currency is GBP, but prices are displayed in the user's local currency and we take...

Re: Dynamically hide sidebars on layouts that don't have them?
Yeah, I had that completely wrong. I created an additional file in /product called category-with-sidebar.tpl and create a new category layout with the route product/category-with-sidebar But I've realised that it's driven from the URL generated by the controller. I've sorted it out now. Thanks for t...

Dynamically hide sidebars on layouts that don't have them?
Hi there, I'm wondering what I'm missing here, but the site I'm building currently only needs a sidebar for one category. The rest of the categories are very simple, with just a few products. One category however requires a filter as it has a lot of options. I've created a separate category.tpl file...

Splitting orders by product
My client has a particular product in his store that can't be shipped with any other item in his store. When someone orders this product and other items simultaneously, the main product is shipped elsewhere from a warehouse while the remaining products are shipped together in the one order. I've fou...

Re: Shipping Tax & Non-Taxable Items
Just wanted to add in here that Johnathan's extension does fully support the way VAT is supposed to be handled. It's the only extension that does so. I now have around 50 rates that cover the UK, EU and world with multiple tax rates, EU VAT ID validation and DHL surcharge zones. Johnathan has been a...

Re: Can't add items with options to cart in IE7
Does IE7 have compatibility mode? I thought it was only an IE8 feature?
If it weren't for the number of users making purchases with IE7 on the current site, I wouldn't even try!

Wanting to auto-select & hide payment methods
I've got a couple of instances in my site where the user would wind up with only one payment method at the checkout. In these instances I'd like to have the payment method hidden completely so that there's as few clicks as possible. I've successfully run a counter to only display payment methods whe...

Can't add items with options to cart in IE7
Hi there,
I'm trying to find a solution for a bit of an odd problem - my OpenCart 1.5.5.1 site seems to work just fine in all other browsers but IE7 has this one intractable bug: You can't add a product to a cart if you've selected an option.
Has anyone come across this one before?

Re: EXPORT TO XML
Hi Avvici, Do you think it'd also be possible to build an XML feed with customer data using this technique? You've already seen the site I'm working on (the MijoShop one this last week where we've added the recurring payments mod), our goal is to feed this data into a mapping extension to show how g...

Re: Shipping Tax & Non-Taxable Items
is there ever a case where the item is non-taxable but the shipping is taxable? thanks It depends on the country. In Australia, our GST (equivalent of VAT) is always charged on shipping because shipping is a service. It doesn't matter whether the items in the cart are GST free. In the UK by contras...
