Re: Can this be done in OpenCart - login to product pages?
Thanks for your reply.... Good to hear that this is feasible to do in OpenCart..
Guess the next stage is to explore the code and structure and have an explore...

Can this be done in OpenCart - login to product pages?
Firstly I've not been using OpenCart for a while and am still using version 1.5, so please bear this in mind. :) I'm looking to create corporate products, where the customer can log into their own exclusive page to re-order items and pay. I am currently using a WYSIWIG web builder to create this, bu...

Re: Opencart v2 - is it worth me upgrading?
Thanks for the reply Johnathan. I certainly wouldn't be looking to upgrade my LIVE OpenCart site at the moment as it not broken!! I may have a play with the new version offline in my xampp development environment though. Probably worth my holding off any upgrades until version 2.0 is a little more m...

Opencart v2 - is it worth me upgrading?
OK here's where I am at. I have a solitary Opencart site running version 1.5 with the YooResponsive theme in place. It has worked faultlessly for the past year. I also have a couple of other sites using different cart software, again with no problems. Here is my question. Is it worthwhile for me to ...

Re: PayPal IPN problem with multiple sites.
Thanks for your replies and help guys. It is much appreciated. I tried the called routine you suggested in the quoted thread Qphoria and I do indeed get a blank page rather than an error message. Nice to know that Opencart overwrites the return URL, as I want to start work on a second Opencart site ...

Re: PayPal IPN problem with multiple sites.
Nope let me put it another way. You have two separate shops, each on its own domain. Shop A and shop B . If you set up the IPN return url in the PayPal console to site A , it will (should) show any sales on the dashboard of site A . If however you make a sale on site B , there is no way for PayPal t...

PayPal IPN problem with multiple sites.
Hi. I took an order on an OpenCart powered site earlier this week - Yippee! Problem is, I only knew about it from the PayPal email as my OpenCart dashboard was showing no sales at all. Having a quick browse on the forum, one of the reasons for this, was stated as possibly being IPN was switched off ...

Re: Product Options Max Length
I once again state this is not my module, I am a user trying to help this great module work bug free. I finally got my site live this weekend and without PCBob's great work on getting this extension sorted, it may have ended up being a Zen Cart powered shop instead. ::) Without being able to limit ...

Re: Product Options Max Length
NOTE: if anyone renames their admin folder, just changing the referrer in the index page of VQMOD is not sufficient to get this mod to work. There are four instances in the script of this mod, where you have to physically change the coding from 'admin' to 'new_admin_folder_name' Just thought I'd me...

Re: Product options - text input.
Thanks for that Qphoria. The vQmod file appears to be working well in combination with the options max length file. Still need to do some more thorough testing with it first, but this will hopefully be of great benefit to those selling personalised products.

Re: Product Options Max Length
Hi. Is there something missing from this code. as although it displays the correct character limits, the character limitation no longer works? Am presuming this is direct replacement for the original code?
Thanks for you assistance on carrying on this project for the original poster.

Re: Product options - text input.
So you want us to code around the stupidity of people? ::) ;D Name 3 that do this! Yea it can be done pretty easily in the checkout/cart/add function. I'll take a look when I get home. Thanks Qphoria.. Sadly anyone with an online presence will happily confirm some customers sheer stupidity, when it...

Product options - text input.
Using the options for a product, for a text input by the user such as someone adding customised text for a personalised item. Let's say the option box is filled by an option value in the admin panel i.e. 'enter name'. If you click the add the add to cart button it will automatically add this default...

Re: VERY quick question on VQMOD utility
Thanks 'grgr'. I have a feeling there is a flaw in the option max length extension, but just wanted to make sure that the xml templates were meant to exist side by side first.
Thanks again...

VERY quick question on VQMOD utility
I have installed VQMOD successfully. If I have extensions that use VQMOD do I put the extra xml files in addition to the existing opencart xml file, or am I supposed to merge to contents of the two files together. Reason I am asking is have just added the product options max length extension, which ...

Re: HOW is OpenCart search engine friendly?
Given "it wasn't a mature enough" I will not resist: at 1.5.0 OC was already amply mature enough to outdo anything that any competitor could do then or since, and a good many installations of it are still in full force and effect, alive and live. Mumble, mutter. Last time I used Opencart ...

Re: HOW is OpenCart search engine friendly?
Thanks 'MarketInSG'. Have tried everything with the .htaccess file but with no joy. Going to have to put that feature onto the back burner for a little while, as have already spent far too much time on it already.

turn on SEO function and it's SEO friendly :) Sadly despite following all the instructions I cannot get the seo friendly thing to work at all, either on the live server or on my xampp enivronment. All I get is 404 errors.. :-\ My web host confirms the mod_rewrite is enabled. On my xampp environment...

Re: HOW is OpenCart search engine friendly?
You really should start to use the search. Plenty of topics regarding OC en SEO. Thanks.. I did type in 'Search engine friendly' but it came back with no results found. Was just curious as to why review sites specifically referred to OC as search engine friendly, but did not apply that terminology ...
