Re: Need Hosting advice

Hello kg0925, First off thank you for hosting with us though I am sorry to hear of the issues you're experiencing. Do you have a ticket ID I can reference by chance? I would like to review to make sure we have evaluated all the options aside from a dedicated server. If so, mind sharing it with me di...

Re: OPENCART HOSTING COMPARISON TEST

Hi Yanni! Thanks for the feedback! As you're well aware, a lot of factors come into play like the ones IP_CAM and ASG brought and they made some great recommendations. One of those factors would be the location, it appears the test was from Canada which is where WX Hosting is located and this is jus...

Re: OC shall not advertise for A2hosting which is totally cr

Hi Victor, Our Swift package includes 1 GB memory, 2 x 2.1 GHz CPU cores and 8 GB virtual memory which is enough resources for a fairly busy OpenCart store. In fact, we have many clients pushing significant traffic across our shared packages including OpenCart users. In this case I can't comment on ...

Re: OC shall not advertise for A2hosting which is totally cr

Hello Sabrina, I am sorry to hear you have been experiencing issues with our hosting services. Having looked into this, it would seem your account was hitting the resource limits which we have implemented in order to protect other users on the server. These limitations were disclosed as a part of th...

Re: OpenCart Website Redesign Poll

I voted number 4, looks like a huge improvement from the current :). My secondary choice would be 1.

Not a huge fan of 2 and 3.

Re: Thanks a mill' for v2.2.

I agree. I love the direction OpenCart has gone with the 2 series in general. Significant improvements over 1.5 series.

Re: Opencart is for what business size!

From what I have seen, I'd say small - medium businesses is what OpenCart works best with (or at least, is what is most used with).

Re: WXhosting: I want to, but cannot cancel my account

Alex, thanks a lot. I started with A2hosting some months ago ;-) No 'Mangement Tools'. The closest I get is 'Hosting Accounts', but under this I cannot cancel, only links to cPanel, phpMyAdmin and change pw. I will talk to my bank again. "You could approach your bank and locate one of the paym...

Re: WXhosting: I want to, but cannot cancel my account

This is very strange. A web host should NEVER install anything on your account unless it is a software you want and ask them to do. The scenario of a web host asking to install something on your account shouldn't exist, only the opposite where you request something after all, it is YOUR website not ...

Re: Best OpenCart Hosting as of 2016

I think it would be a good move. Does OpenCart have a migration tool when coming from BigCommerce? Or do you intend on starting from scratch?

Re: Upgrade to 2.2 now I cannot get my admin

For sure. I am not sure I will ever update again. All I wanted is the revews to work. They don't work with Opencart 2.0.2.0. or at least I cannot find a way to fix it. Still, OpenCart 2.0 is an older version and you should have the right to use 2.2 so it is unfortunate you've experienced issues dur...

Re: Extremely slow product page

Are you noticing any resource caps being hit on your server? On the page you've linked, I am seeing the follow resources / items taking up a significant amount of time to load: 30.82 seconds: http://womear.com/index.php?route=product/product/review&product_id=7009 30.97 seconds: http://womear.co...

Re: SSL giving 404 error on multi store

Can you send me a PM of both your websites? It could be a few things depending on different variables so with a link it should be easier to pinpoint the issue.

What version of OpenCart are you currently running (version 1.x or 2.x)? If you shoot me an email (email in signature) I'll be happy to assist you with this.

Re: reliable web hosting for opencart

We'd be happy to have you try out one of our packages at Arvixe. Our BusinessClass would be a great choice as Madimar suggested though you could also try our regular hosting packages if $15/month is as high as you can go. In any case, I'd be happy to throw in a nice discount so you can try us out fo...

There are several Youtube video grabbers which is most likely at play here. Though you're going to look into the legality of it and also look for another software, OpenCart is not a video hosting software.

Re: Changing from Windows 2008 to Linux

It shouldn't be difficult to migrate from Windows to Linux though it would be a manual migration (manually move the files, database and so on).

You can also reach out to our migrations department to get further details: migrations@arvixe.com.
