Re: Unable to log into customer account from admin side - session being lost (v1.5.5.1)
As I mentioned before, all was working fine until a few days ago. We have not made any changes to files or modules. We even checked (date check) if there had been any changes made to our files but could not find any. We then asked our web host to see if they made any changes to our server from an up...

Re: Unable to log into customer account from admin side - session being lost (v1.5.5.1)
Hi, its a very odd problem.. We have spend hours doing different tests from various locations, computers and browsers. We have tested on WIndows 7, Win 10, Mac. When using my wife's Mac which uses Safari browser, I DO NOT encounter this issue. When I use my android phone and log in using LastPass (w...

Unable to log into customer account from admin side - session being lost (v1.5.5.1)
Hi there, In the last few days, we've been unable to log in to customer accounts, from the admin side - it just loses the session and goes to the logged out page. There are no issues logging in as a customer from the front though. We are on v1.5.5.1. The weird thing is that this only happens on a fe...

Update order statuses from CSV file
Hi, We are looking for a developer to create a script for our trade website, which would update order statuses on uploading a csv file we have generated. Our Opencart site is 1.5.5.1, and we have a number of modules installed, along with a fair amount of customisation to the build, including the ord...

Re: PayPal change to SHA-256
I just posted this on another thread: Right... I asked my host about this (as my website is non SSL), and they say... "I can confirm this will not be an issue, PayPal's notification will likely relate to requiring system connecting to their IPN service be SHA-256 capable and this is the case wi...

Re: Paypal update, does it affect open cart?
Hi guys,
I asked this question elsewhere and had a handy reply - which is relevant if you have SSL:

I'm not sure on sites without SSL though...

PayPal change to SHA-256
Hi there, I've received an email from PayPal informing me that they are upgrading the certificate for paypal.com to SHA-256 security, and that this endpoint is also used by merchants using the Instant Payment Notification (IPN). They have identified my site as using this (I use the PayPal Standard p...

Re: Retina display support
thanks for the reply Andrei. That sounds good. Opencart normally limits the dimensions/size of an upload, so I will probably have to do this via ftp instead. I might try the javascript route anyway otherwise non-retina people will have to download the larger images each time. The one I found recogni...

Retina display support
Hi there, Just got myself a shiny new retina display MacBook. However... when visiting any site (including my Opencart ones) that isn't retina-enabled, jpg and png images are slightly blurred. This is roughly the same for Safari, Firefox and Chrome. Everything else is laser-sharp, but images are ren...

Re: Add image into middle of the header...Help!!
Hi there, not sure - but assuming it's a similar setup to the one's I've been using (1.5.4 - 1.5.6), I can't see why not.
Just make sure you have a copy of the files you're editing.

Re: Add image into middle of the header...Help!!
You need to add the image to your header file and then reference it in the stylesheet... You're using a theme from the looks of it so make sure you edit the right ones. Make sure you back up any file you edit first! In the header (ie catalog/view/theme/YOURTHEME/template/common/header.tpl), before <...

Re: Maintenance mode only blocks home page
Hi there, I'm getting exactly the same issue with our site (www.specialistsupplements.com). I've added manual links into the top menu (and footer) using the seo urls, and when any of these are clicked it bypasses the maintenance mode. For those without seo urls (contact us etc), it still works... Sam
