Re: Default theme Menu Bar: Use top element to Show all
Does it not give an issue with touch screen devices, can't open the menu? Yes, you are right. Hover is not available on touch screens. So this improves desktop usability but changes mobile use. Will need to decide if mobile navigation is easier by a dropdown menu or by "Refine Search" lin...

Default theme Menu Bar: Use top element to Show all
(working on 3.0.3.7) I was looking on a way to simplify the look and usability of the default theme, and noticed that when a top category has children, hovering on its name in the menu bar opens the dropdown but clicking on it doesn't do anything. To open that category one must click the option &quo...

Re: Version 3.0.3.7 or 4.0.0.0_b?
In the Beyond Compare V2+ or WinMerge Tool results' documentation. That would give me a factual difference between the program files. My question was more regarding why is one of those more suited for practical use than the other. At first sight one would assume the 3.7 version came after the 3.2 s...

Re: Version 3.0.3.7 or 4.0.0.0_b?
Oh! Didn't know 3.0.3.2 was a contender. Where can I read about the pros/cons between 3.0.3.2 vs 3.0.3.7?

Re: Version 3.0.3.7 or 4.0.0.0_b?
In that case is clear I installed a beta.
Do you suggest I continue with it, or better delete and install 3.0.3.7? Jump to post

Version 3.0.3.7 or 4.0.0.0_b?
I tried a brand new installation, pulling the files from the git repository (master https://github.com/opencart/opencart). On the git page it says 3.0.3.7 , but on the admin page of the new install it says 4.0.0.0_b . I noticed a few differences from my previous tests. Would appreciate guidance rega...

Guidelines for organizing large number of products and categories
I've been slowly advancing on my plans to move my store to OC, and eventually I must tackle the issue of bringing the products and categories. I'm not worried about the importing process itself, as there are several extensions that would work for that and may hire someone for the actual database wor...

Re: Extension to add a custom field to each category? (3.0.3.7)
How about this one? You may not show it on the front so it will be only in the admin area for each category. https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension/info&extension_id=36970 Thanks for the suggestion. I had in mind something a bit more structured than a text field, but may...

Extension to add a custom field to each category? (3.0.3.7)
I need to save a code/field/attribute for each category. It's for admin use only.
Before I request a custom extension I browsed the marketplace and couldn't find one that would handle this.
Does anyone know of an existing extension that can attach custom columns/fields/data to each category?
Thanks

[SOLVED] Cloudflare block on extension/module page of local install
I installed OC in a local machine for testing. Since this morning, when going to admin/extensions/modules page there is a Cloudflare banner that keeps reloading the page every 5 seconds with no end in sight. Screenshot attached. I can access the marketplace and the forum from other tabs of the same ...

Re: OCMOD question
Thanks all. Just for completion, the full code of my first mod ever, to show the currency in the orders table, would be: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <modification> <name>Show currency on Orders Table</name> <code>orders_table_mod</code> <version>1.0</version> <author>M...

Re: OCMOD question
In my case it doesn't do that exactly. It adds the code after the end of the line that contained the searched code.
That had me confused.

OCMOD question
I'm playing with some code to see if I understand the ins and outs of OCMOD, and came to an unexpected result. Does ADD AFTER inserts the text right after the match, or in the next line? Here are the details of my test: order_list.twig has a line: <td class="text-right">{{ order.total }}</...

Looking for OC Integrator/developer to setup a new install and move my business to it (preferably in Toronto, Canada)
I'd like to hire a person/company to put together an OC installation based on my specs. The goal is to move a 15 year old ecommerce site to OC. It will probably mean combining base features, extensions and custom programming. Please reply or message me if you are available so we can go over the spec...
