Re: Opencart Menu Layering ontop itself

Hi there,

Could I have a link to your website? I'll take a look.

Are you using the default theme now?

Cheers,

Re: guest checkout

Hey guys, Saw that you were looking for something to help you sell digital products. Me and the team were in the same position once, so we created an extension/theme ( ProductPage ) for selling downloadable products: The design is simplified (no categories, navigation and other distractions). The ex...

Re: How I battled featuritis developing my first OC extensio

@IP_CAM, Thanks for chiming in. I think we started an interesting discussion here. If you're transitioning from a freelance web developer to an OpenCart extension developer, you should be well into PHP. So, you should be able to teach yourself whatever you need to know about OpenCart. Just like you'...

Re: Products with options

Can you please tell me your website address? Perhaps a third-party extension is causing the problem.

Re: backgrounds on body and header

Perhaps this will help you get there. It's based on the default theme, because I don't have a link to your website: 1. Open the file catalog/view/theme/default/stylesheet/stylesheet.css in a simple text editor like notepad or textedit. 2. Paste this code: body { background: url(http://www.ljstorage....

Re: install error. english

Hey there, Assuming that you haven't installed any extensions/modules yet, you're probably missing some of the files. Here's something you can try: Unzip the OpenCart installation archive and upload the upload/catalog/language directory to the catalog directory of your store. Hope this helps.

Re: VQmod

Did you install vQmod in the end? You have to upload the files before you can visit http://www.xxxx.com/vqmod/install and actually install vQmod. Here's what you can try: 1. Log in to your FTP server. If you don't know how to do this, log in to your cPanel and go to the File explorer. In your main s...

Re: Clearing my image data cache?!?

Hi,

You will not lose your images. Each of the images on your website has a "cached" version, which is loaded faster than the original image. So, go ahead and delete the image cache. Don't worry about it.

Cheers,
Gergana

Re: How to add extra css class to existing or insert extra d

Do you have access to the theme files? If you do and you only wan to style one div, put an id on the div and use that. This might not be a solution for dynamically generated content. It depends on the situation. With pure CSS, you can style a specific div (or set of divs). Look into n-th child CSS p...

Re: Errors in the log

It's likely related to a third-party vQmod extension. Try disabling all extensions to see which one is causing the issue. If the problem persists after you disable all vQmod extensions, then has any developer done any work for you related to product images for example? An image gallery or something?...

Re: Help, tad overwhelmed and getting more lost

Hi Wiler, I get where you're coming from. You don't need to set up any servers yourself. You need 2 simple things: 1. A domain name —this is your website name, e.g. themostawesomestore.com is a domain name, like opencart.com is this website's domain name. Domain names can be bought separately or wit...

Re: some css advise

Hi Garry,

Not sure that this is what you're after, but please try this piece of code:

Code: Select all

.middle.box-content select {
    display: inline-block;
}

.middle.box-content {
    text-align: center;
}

.top.box-heading {
    text-align: center;
}
It will center the search form and title.

Re: Urgent help

What version of OpenCart are you using? You can see the version number at the bottom of the page where you fill in your admin username and password. I just tested this on an OpenCart 1.5.6.4 multi-store and I didn't have this problem. It doesn't seem to be a bug. You can try disabling all of your vQ...

Re: List similar products in product details page...

Hi there, It doesn't seem like your reference website is powered by OpenCart. In OpenCart you can use the "Related products" feature for just that. Go to "Catalog>Products" and click "Edit" for a product. In the "Links" tab enter the names of the related products. They will be automatically complete...
