Re: New opencart web site - bugs

@Daniel

are you for real?

you roll out this piece of utter crap and then start name calling (but then what did we expect?)

Your incompetence is staggering

If you worked for me you would be fired!

Re: Migration of 1.5.6.4 database into clean 2.3 database.

Good luck with that!

There is no "official" migration tool

Despite the assertion of the Developers of Opencart "It works" the inplace upgrade (which I know you don't want) does not work properly

There is NO documentation

I want to upgrade as well but cannot

Re: New opencart web site - bugs

Why have the names of downloaded extensions changed ?

How on earth are you supposed to identify them in a directory ?

e.g.

name before: Featured-Category-Plusv1.4.zip
name now: 581feb06c8447.zip

15 days - why haven't you rolled it back ?

Re: New opencart web site - bugs

It's almost too funny (though not for developers who make a living)

If anyone that worked for me produced this kind of absolute rubbish they would be sacked

Daniel will probably say "it works" and start calling us fat

Re: Clean Install without Loosing themes, Images and prices

You could identify changes that have been made to files by comparing the source files to the current files using Winmerge

It's a very good (free program) which will you exactly what has changed

Re: Question from a dummy about upgrading/clean install of 2

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES FOLLOW THIS STUPID ADVICE IT WILL NOT WORK If you do it your database will be overwritten and you will end up with demo data You can upload the 2.3.0.2 files in a sub directory along with a copy of your database and copy the image files over to image/catalog so they will load....

That is one of many issues I encountered (could not login to admin) testing a 1.5.5.1 upgrade to 2.3.0.2

Apparently "it works"

Re: Where are the upgrade instructions?

So we know they are NOT in

Upgrade.txt (why not ?)
No sticky at the top of this forum
No stick in 2.0 either

This is not appropriate http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=181&t=163546
