Re: Handling fee not showing.

I just purchased Johnathan's mod, looks like it will fit the bill nicely.

Re: Handling fee not showing.

What are the options for the "Fee" entry? For example, Qphoria's 1.4.x handling fee mod let you enter something like the following, to set a different handling fee for various order totals: 100:8.00, 500:15.00, 1000:20.00, 2000:25.00, 5000:50.00, 25000:75.00 So, for orders up to $100, the handling f...

Re: Add insurance to UPS options?

The insurance may just be a standard rate, based on the value of the shipment. See http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/shipping/time/service/value_added/daily.html and look under the "Declared Value" heading. Insurance cost is free up to a declared value of $100, then is $2.10 for a declared value up t...

Add insurance to UPS options?

I have the UPS shipping module working great; however, we insure everything we ship. Is there a way to modify the UPS module so that it includes the insurance rate as part of the shipping total?

Re: cXML integration project

No takers? This is a serious offer. I have all the requirements listed out, so there should be very little (if any) "feature creep" on this deal. I'm fairly proficient with PHP/MySQL--I just have so many other things on my plate right now that I can't devote the time to this project--and I'll be abl...

cXML integration project

I've been tasked with developing a cXML interface with a company called SciQuest, which serves as a front-end for one of our big customers. It's going to involve, at a minimum, integration with OpenCart's customer login, shopping cart, and payment options. If you're interested, shoot me an email and...

Re: [MOD] - Multi-Total Handling Fee (% or $)

Many thanks, Q. Works great. In fact, everything about 1.4.8 seems to work great. Installation is much easier, upgrading from previous versions is smooth, things appear to be much more robust overall. Very, very nice work. Please share my kudos with the dev team.

Re: [MOD] - Multi-Total Handling Fee (% or $)

Does this mod still work with 1.4.8? I'm getting an error when I unzip the file.

Re: Accessing order total from payment module?

Still having trouble getting the complete, final, master, everything-included-here, TOTAL for the order. Currently, I'm using

round(($this->cart->getSubTotal() + array_sum($this->cart->getTaxes())),2)

But this leaves out shipping, handling fees and other stuff. What variable stores the grand total?

Re: More powerful searching, OC 1.4.4

If I understand correctly, the mod should break down the search phrase into individual strings... so let's say the user enters this search phrase: candle mug.... the search engine should bring back every item with 'candle' or 'mug' in the product title. The mod breaks down the search phrase into in...

Try this for 1.4.6. I haven't tested it myself, so please post here whether or not it works.

Re: More powerful searching, OC 1.4.4

Cuz I know exactly what I want PHP to do, I'm just not exactly sure of the best way to make PHP do it. :)

Actually, preg_split lets me split the string on more than one delimiter, treat quoted strings as one item, etc. I think explode only takes one delimiter argument.

[MOD]More powerful searching, OC 1.4.4

The default behavior of OpenCart's search function looks for the exact word or string typed into the search field. Period. If you'd rather have a more powerful search, this one's for you. Tested on OC 1.4.4 only. With this modification, the search string is split into space- or comma- delimited subs...

Re: [1.4.4] UPS Shipping Error: Shipping Method Required

HALLELUJAH!!! Q, you're a genius, a lifesaver, and the sexiest individual on the planet. Nay, in the Universe. If you were standing in front of me, I might just kiss you full on the mouth. If you're ever in Texas, call me and I'll buy you a beer. Unless you don't like Texas beers, in which case I'll...

Re: How do I control the products on the home page?

Actually, I meant the store admin, not the user (sorry). I figured it out. In the file catalog/model/catalog/product.php Find the getLatestProdcuts() function, and modify the ORDER BY portion of the (long and convoluted) $query string (it's at the tail end of the string). ... ORDER BY p.location ASC...

Re: How do I control the products on the home page?

Any info on this issue? It seems like OC pulls the "latest" products (based on date_added or date_modified, I'm assuming) and displays those. Is there any way to give the user some kind of manual control over which products appear on the home page?

config_email issues--need quotes, no &

Re: Accessing order total from payment module?

Oh, hang on... $this->cart->getSubTotal() is giving me the sub-total, not the final total (so, in this case, it's leaving off the tax). I tried $this->cart->getTotal() but that gives me the same number. ?
