Re: How to move an Opencart installation to a new domain

This was a good overview/tutorial of the basics. As we begin final edits on our revised site, my struggle is keeping the live site where it is, and having the new/updated site edit-able somewhere within the same host/server. Seems to be a conflict. Either we create a subdirectory and rename a lot of...

Re: MySQLDumper application config

MyPhp has file limitations that prevent us from grabbing one large db file. That's the only reason. Again, temporary until we transition. The dumper is working, just the email settings aren't, so no longer a problem, just annoying. Once we move to 3.x this will no longer be in use. Thanks for the fe...

Re: MySQLDumper application config

Thank you. Migrating from 1.5x to 3.x and need the entire db structure in one file, so just temporarily using this.

Re: MySQLDumper application config

The application: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mysqldumper/ Settings allow configuration to do the SQL backup/dump, and email the file(s). Tried various changes to these email settings to no avail. Figured some OpenCart users have this running and might be able to assist. I've entered correct ema...

MySQLDumper application config

Installed and working, but cannot configure email to work so download is emailed out. Developer stopped support years ago, but wondered if anyone has tips on email config on this application.

Thanks.

Re: Testing Import/Export Modules

I did. Three times. For the original extension. No reply. So we started testing other modules. Hoping to hear back from anyone who has resolved this to work the way the original did (easier).

Testing Import/Export Modules

Migrating from 1.5x to 3.x soon, and began testing some of the import/export tools available. Of the ones tested, they all seem quite complex compared to the basic import/export module we have on 1.5x (JNeuhoff). You must select various criteria for one download to add a category or product, then re...

Looking for order data capture mod/ext 3.x

Want to be able to assign which fields to capture from order screen, save to .csv or other format, rather than manually pull order data to .csv file. Or if there is a mod/extension that would allow selective orders to be exported in their entirety, that may work, but not looking to export the entire...

Re: Linking categories to products, changing flow for quicker access to products

Thanks Ernie. Revisions are underway to move to a newer o/c version, and we'll figure something out once that's done. Thought this would be a very simple adjustment to the categories/etc, but sounds like it's beyond the basics. Thanks for listening.

Re: Linking categories to products, changing flow for quicker access to products

Clarifying: On our site, we list vehicle makes for our products. If a customer is looking for BumperPlugs for a Jeep, rather than land on the Jeep page, we want them to land on the Chrysler page. Simple as that. We have Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge all listed as makes, but we want to steer related makes to...

Re: Linking categories to products, changing flow for quicker access to products

:)

Yeah, figured it was confusing the way I wrote it. I'll figure out better language and make it happen. The biggest issue for us right now is making a Click Brand B and it goes to Brand A. Just having some issues trying to make that work.

Linking categories to products, changing flow for quicker access to products

For many years our site has been set up where a customer can go to Product -> Brand -> That Product for That Brand -> but then click again to select colors on second page. As we begin to revise and update our site, we want to reduce the number of clicks, and I believe this can be achieved in the .cs...

Re: Temporarily disable only one shipping method but leave the rest?

Thanks...what I'm trying to do is leave standard shipping options for all, but stop overnight option, then return it in a few days. Can't really accomplish that with Geo Zones (at least that's what I checked when I looked at it).

Temporarily disable only one shipping method but leave the rest?

Is there any simple way with weight-based shipping to disable one or more of the options without completely deleting it, and bringing it back later? Seems to be either leave it or delete it.

Re: Sub-menu column sizing

Thanks for pointing that out. The issue I believe is simply the delay in cache sequencing and resets. Eventually got it to show correctly by making adjustments to each of the two files. Will correct the double slash.

Many thanks.

Re: Sub-menu column sizing

Troubles continue. I've tweaked superfish.css and superfish-vertical.css and flushed cache but still cannot get this working right. Which file controls the width of these two columns?

I've bumped the '10' to as high as 50 without success.

Re: Sub-menu column sizing

Thanks....tried that, no joy. Also at that point it shows:

/* left offset of submenus need to match (see below) */

Assuming I need to edit something else...or should I be in super fish-vertical.css? I made an error above, and the file we edited before was superfish-vertical.css.

Sub-menu column sizing

1.5x been running for years. Primary drop down menu on home page drops to Categories. Categories allow mouse hover to second sub-menu. Need to increase width of secondary column. When I edited years ago and increased the width of the first (left-most column), the file was identified (thank you QPhor...

Alpha Sorting gone....RESOLVED

No changes to file structure. On one of our pages we list various makes of vehicles. Always alpha listed. We're adding other makes, and inserting correct data in the Category and Product Tables through Admin panel just fine. But the list is not showing correctly where the entire list of makes is sho...
