No, SEO URLs is off.
To be honest, this is a mandatory field, so it can't be blank for a product entered through the admin. It is because I imported the data through PHP Admin I was able to not populate it.

Hi, The problem is resolved. I went to User Groups and granted the Administrator group all the Access and Modify permissions (I thought I had already done this, but maybe....). As this is the only thing that I could have changed, this must have been the problem, although this didn't manifest itself ...

I think that the CURL error is related to loopback - some hosting providers allow it and some don't. If they don't, then OC2 just won't work, though I do hope that there is a solution coming soon.
