I have the same problem. This is a serious problem but found no answers yet.
Multi language store should have multi language homepage titles and seo url.
As I know, prestashop and magento can easily set different homepage title for different language.

I have a problem, I have category like this abc.com/cat1/cat2/
I found I can use both abc.com/cat/cat2/ and abc.com/cat2/ to visit the cat2 category.
I think this is very bad for seo!! Can anyone make cannonial URL to lowerest class?

What about version 1.5.3. How do you fix that??? I am also using OC1.5.3.1. I just worked it out. Search implode(' OR ', , replace all the four OR to AND, except the 2 below. implode(' OR ', $implode_data) then, clear cache, and you will work it out. This is a headache to me and I finally worked it...

That solution does not work for 1.5.3.1. I tried for a fresh install 1531 version and it works, but not work for my actual site.
I solved it, change all the OR to AND except two. You can try demo at my site ver1531.

Smart search is not really helpful to the problem. For example, i have product 15MM DIAMETER KEY RING, 20MM DIAMETER RING, and more similar names. If I search 15mm ring, the search results will still show all products with 15mm or ring inside their names. This is a big problem!! There is a solution ...

I have product name with tag nokia phone and samsung phone and other phones, when I click tag nokia phone, all the product tags contain PHONE will appear in search result.
THIS IS NOT GOOD because I only want to find the products with TAG NOKIA PHONE.
Can any one help to sort it out?
