Re: Prevent Negative Quantities on Product and Options

From what I understand it sounds like you would have to check for product option qty first and then handle your update. Yes, of course. This is exactly what I require. As mentioned in the post, it is the coding of such a check that I am not sure of. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! ;D

Prevent Negative Quantities on Product and Options

I am managing a store that is extensively modified. One of the modifications allow back ordering of certain items. Rather than getting into specifics, I will focus on the issue at hand. I would like to prevent stock levels going into negative quantities once an order is placed. Now this is easy for ...

Re: Block Countries by Geo Code (BIN Attack)

Thank you for the replies, but I modified the code to set forbidden access in a different manner. The code below works perfectly (a new rule is added for each page that I wish to block). For IP2Location: RewriteCond %{ENV:IP2LOCATION_COUNTRY_SHORT} !^AU$ RewriteRule ^checkout/checkout$ - [F,L] Or fo...

Re: Block Countries by Geo Code (BIN Attack)

Just as a suggestion .. have you tried to add a htaccess file to the checkout folder? That would only work for static assets, such as an image directory or a static HTML page. As the pages for OpenCart are dynamic (PHP), this is not an option unfortunately. I will take a look at the other extension...

Re: Block Countries by Geo Code (BIN Attack)

Thank you Mona, I have read every one of those posts. Please note that in my post I have provided specific code and I have stated it is not working. I believe it might be the "checkout/checkout" test as I have removed geo code rewrite condition and the redirect from the checkout to the hom...

Block Countries by Geo Code (BIN Attack)

I am experiencing a BIN attack on our website where an automated script has now attempted over 16,000 credit card transactions! Until I can implement a more advanced security method, I would like to block the checkout from the countries where the attacks originate from. I have tried the code below. ...

Re: Automatic Stock Updates from a Feed?

A ... really untrustworthy code ... :choke: Thank you. I used the code in the original post and updated accordingly. Please note that I NEVER use any new code on a live site unless I am absolutely certain it is safe and error free. On that note, it would be beneficial to elaborate on your statement...

Re: Automatic Stock Updates from a Feed?

Your code may work, but its scripted very badly, you shouldnt be added the mysql database details directly to the page, they should be pulled from pre existing variables already loaded. Plus your databse calls should be handled seperately in a model file. I realise this is an old post but I feel th...

Pulling products from Ultimate Shipping?

First, I just wanted to say that this extension is excellent. It is so full featured and the support from Johnathan has been exceptional. Just wondering if the community (specifically others who may be familiar with this extension) might be able to help with this quick question. I am setting up this...

Re: Admin Sale Order Form - Including SKU When Adding New Products

Discussion found in 2 minutes using the search: http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=48165&p=228757#p228757 Straightlight, I mean no disrespect but clearly you did not read my post in its entirety. I am thankful though as I know your intention was to point me in the right directio...

Re: Admin Sale Order Form Adding SKU when Editing Products

So I decided to revisit this as our inventory has continued to grow and we want to move forward with an improved inventory system. Yes, I realise it has been nearly 2 years and some are probably wondering why we don't just update to a newer OC version. The truth is that our store is heavily customis...

Re: Registration Spam

Ernie, My issue is actually with contact form spam, mostly from Russia. We are bombarded with at least 10 every day. I really need a solution to fix this. I may look into Google reCAPTCHA, or perhaps even this extension: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension/info&extensi...

Re: Brands in Header - Splitting HTML Output (PHP count + ceil)

Countless examples can be seen in your catalog/view/theme/<your_theme>/template/module folder. Almost each TPL files displays a multi-dimensional loop and segments the rows as you described above. Yes, I have tried to understand the code, but web development is not my primary vocation. I was hoping...

Re: Registration Spam

Straightlight,

I can see references to some code added for v1.5.6.4. However, the current download is clearly for v2.3.0.2 and above.

Would you still have the previous version available, or is there any chance you could outline the required changes for older versions of OpenCart?

Brands in Header - Splitting HTML Output (PHP count + ceil)

I am modifying some code for a store running OC v1.5.5.1 and have successfully managed to add the brands to the header. The only problem is that this is output in a single list. I am attempting to divide the columns in a similar manner to the categories. So I borrowed the code that performs this ope...

Re: OpenBay Pro https exclude rule

Just thought I would add my solution in case it helps others (which it likely will). If you have modified your config file to ensure all URL's are generated as HTTPS and also added a redirect rule within htaccess, then you will need to handle both of these factors. First you will need to exclude Ope...

Re: [vQmod] Hide Information & Category Pages + On/Off Site

Since the original post, this vQmod has been completely rebuilt, which is why I haven't been able to provide any updates. There are now checkboxes on each form to enable or disable the respective page in all areas. To be honest, setting sort orders to achieve this isn't the most elegant approach but...
