Turns out something had reverted part of my database back to 4 bit when I was testing. Never even occurred to me.
Simple fix.

Dont pay attention to that. I use Bigint in my DB so that I can use UPC (or internal #) for product ID so that I do not have to track arbitrary product id #s every time I import products- which is pretty regularly. Check to make sure you have products Enabled.
Status column = true.
Less defaults to false.
Also note if formatting is concert, say under Description column. It will not put anything there and assume that it is right.

I have other items that are single digit difference and they dont behave this way. So its just bugging my brain. (damn gremlins)

So all I did was Enabled Default Theme. Change Theme from Main to Default. Tested - worked. Change backed to Main. Works.
(and yes had cleared cache prior multiple times over multiple days)

Followed those directions and edited those 2 files.
Cleared cache (though off) 7 refreshed modifications. Nothing. Cleared all Sessions. Restarted browser - nothing.
Side note - hoe many sessions tokens should I have once logged in?
