Re: Bugs version 3-main

Thanks to whoever did this for removing 3.x.x.x from a list of released versions. It was a wise solution.

Re: Bugs version 3-main

I have tried the checkout of Opencart 3.x.x.x (a.k.a. 3.1.1.0). It is not workable. After fixing JS error there is another error with an incorrect 'account' index. Such essential things should be tested before releasing. I would suggest Opencart team to remove that 3.x.x.x archive from a list of pub...

Re: Opencart 3.x.x.x released (actual version is 3.1.1.0)

Thank you all for participating in the discussion. Personally I recommend 3.0.x.x_Maintenance branch from github, which is like OC 3.0.3.8, with some more bugfixes and support for PHP 8.0 and 8.1. Yes, this is what they should release as a maintenance release, I guess. They are not talking about cha...

Opencart 3.x.x.x released (actual version is 3.1.1.0)

Opencart core developers do not stop to surprise me... Yesterday, Opencart 3.x.x.x was released. Yes, they show it without minor version numbers on the downloads page. https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=cms/download/history Inside the code we can see that its version is 3.1.1.0 - ok. But why d...

Re: OpenCart 4.0.0.0 Released

I looked at Opencart 4.0.0.0 and... there is NO page for uploading ocmod custom modifications or 3rd party modules. OMG... what you have done... we are going back to vqmod... And yes, I understand your goal. You wish to force developers to use the marketplace. I think it is not going to happen with ...

Re: The marketplace is no longer notifying developers of e-mail addresses on orders

#2 makes more more angry, because all of you are getting money, but give nothing back (except the pieces you are selling). Oh, yeah. We give nothing back except paying commission from every sale. That is how a marketplace works. Everybody wins when sales go smoothly. Now the user experience degrade...

Re: The marketplace is currently not notifying developers of e-mail addresses on orders

OMG, they said they did it intentionally... I cannot believe it. Before these changes I issued license keys and and sent them to customer's email from that order notification. Now, it looks impossible. Does anyone experience similar problems?

Re: The marketplace is currently not notifying developers of e-mail addresses on orders

Yes, I am encountering this issue as well. When I tried to export orders in the store back-end, the email address was filled in with just a number. I doubt that it was intentional behavior, most likely it is a bug in some "minor" marketplace changes. It is a major issue we need to have it ...

Re: Too many poor quality extensions!

I agree that Opencart has to change its internal structure to make life easier for supporting extensions. There are weak points in ocmod and event handlers, but the last one completely breaks some php functionality. Since their introduction it is not possible to pass direct function parameters by re...

Why does theme editor override ocmod changes?

I just encountered a "major" issue with OC3. When a user made some changes to a template with the theme editor, the extension-modified version of the file is completely ignored by Opencart. Why?! I think ocmod changes have to be applied after the file is tweaked by the administrator. Is th...

Re: Official OpenCart Website Bug Reports

OMG! Guys, did you know that such major updates must be tested very carefully. Such major bugs are not fixed for days on official Opencart store. You had to roll back these changes and check the market again. We all are LOOSING SALES every hour when you keep that market unfixed. You must do somethin...

Re: Undefined Property Proxy Error

Just met the same error in my extension. In my case it happened because a function name did not match function declaration by letter case. In PHP the function names are case-insensitive, but proxy "feature" made it to behave this way. Actually I have a lot of complaints to the "magic ...

Hi,

Maybe you just need to grant permissions to a user group of your administrator account on the 'System / Users / User Groups' page.

2JNeuhoff: After the latest update OC2 introduces the line-based additions like vqmod does. Check the latest modification.php file from the github.

Suggestions on extension installer

Hello, Ocmod is being improved and I am very happy about it. The second part of uploading a custom code is the installer. In opencart 2.0.0.0 it requires a preconfigured valid ftp account in the store just to upload a zip archive with the custom code. Is this really necessary!? I believe it will be ...

try testing the latest master version please. Thank you for the update! It almost works as needed, but I have two notices after testing: 1) in admin/controller/extension/modification.php the following line if (trim($search) == $line) { should be replaced with something like this: if (stripos($line,...

Re: Lack of functionality in modifications of opencart 2.0

I found out that there is an index functionality in ocmod but it does not work because of a bug. Here is a ticket mentioning this issue:

https://github.com/opencart/opencart/issues/1967

As soon as they fix it, it should work better although I would still miss inserting the code below/above lines.

Lack of functionality in modifications of opencart 2.0

Hi, I tested the alpha version, reported this problem and it is still actual in the 2.0.0.0 release! Guys, if you offer the modification functionality then make it right. At the present time it is completely unsuitable for serious changes. It does not support indexes, it does not work with lines (li...
