Re: Opencart 1.4.7 extension

Thanks for the suggestion Ernie, unfortunately replacing that line of code did not solve the problem. I'll have to ask for a refund. I'll read the comments before buying anything next time! Unfortunately this was the only extension i could find that supports version 1.4.7. There are many order expor...

Re: Can't view orders, Access denied / undefined error after SSL installation

You didn't like my security restrictions remember. ;) Anyway, i've fixed the problem thanks to an older post on the forum from VictorJ. For anyone interested or having the same problem: I quote; open file admin/controller/sale/order.php find line 850 Code: Select all $data['store_url'] = $this->requ...

Re: Setting up site for developer / programmer, need tips

Yes, any developer probably will be offended by the restrictions, and that you don't trust them. I would make it clear up front (even before discussing the security restrictions) that you've been badly burned before by developers, and are taking no chances. As your developer proves themselves trust...

Re: Setting up site for developer / programmer, need tips

There is far worse a developer could do than steal data. Unless you are a developer, you will probably not understand the dangers. (To add to what Krotek said) So if a customer clones a site and changes to customer data to avoid them finding it, so what. The developer could write backdoor scripts, ...

Re: Setting up site for developer / programmer, need tips

The only way you're going to be able to deny a developer access to sensitive data, is to clone the site and replace all sensitive information with dummy data. Naturally, if they're to fix corrupted data (rather than just code), that won't work. If you're enough of an expert yourself to do that, you...

Re: Setting up site for developer / programmer, need tips

Whoa, it sounds like i stepped on some very long toes lol. I praise developers who add to the community and help others for free. Without all the free info my business would not be where it is now. But i really have to conclude that you guys (and ladies) are not business owners, otherwise you'd bett...

Re: Setting up site for developer / programmer, need tips

Why don't you want to hire a developer and work with him for a while on less sensitive tasks? Let him earn your trust. That's a good idea, but that would require quite some time and multiple tasks. The issue i'm having now needs urgent care, i can't modify orders / setting status after installing S...

Re: Setting up site for developer / programmer, need tips

Trust has to be earned, i can't just let a developer who is a complete stranger to me sign a NDA and just hope for the best. Anyone strapped for cash might be tempted to copy customer data and sell it off. I do not have the time to learn coding myself. There must be a way to protect sensitive data o...

Setting up site for developer / programmer, need tips

I need to hire a developer to fix some things on my site but i don't want to give him access to sensitive customer and order data. The site has been cloned on a subdomain, but now the site is broken after truncating certain tables in the database that contain sensitive data like orders and customers...

Re: Can't view orders, Access denied / undefined error after SSL installation

Does anyone know of a solution? It's very urgent because it's a live store, I'd be forever grateful.
I'm willing to pay for a solution if there's any.

Thanks

Can't view orders, Access denied / undefined error after SSL installation

Opencart V2.2.0 I've installed SSL for my site (which was a pain in the a.. to get to work). Now it's finally working but i get to see an error when opening an order in admin. In internet explorer it shows "access denied, undefined error". In firefox it's simply "network error". ...

Re: Paypal redirect creditcard payment?

The only thing you can do is, If you are using Express Checkout, you can also choose the first payment option selected by default in our Checkout page. In order...

Re: Does Mandrill / other transactionel email service work with opencart?

I just changed everything to use gmail's mailserver. transactional and customerservice emails finally get delivered, none are flagged as spam anymore and it works fine this way with OSticket v 1.1. But, I prefer to use mandrill and my own @domain.com email address instead of @gmail.com so i'll take ...

Re: Does Mandrill / other transactionel email service work with opencart?

I've receive a reply from mandrill. Thank you for writing in. It looks like your contact form is using the person filling out the form's address as the sender, which is why you are seeing the rejections. Your best bet is to change your contact form to send using your verified address in the from hea...

Re: DATA not accepted from server after setting SMTP

My webhost acts like it's a script-related problem, they don't want to acknowledge it's server-side. I found this thread https://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?t=45585 from November 2011, someone running OC 1.5.1.3 with the same problem. Some code changes were suggested which seemed to work, but t...
