Re: Confirmation Email.

If you are running this on apache you can always look at /var/log/<log name> logs for ssl and http for the site.

This helps me alot when I get brave with PHP :)

As phpuk says, easy to miss a squigle or dot somwhere.

I use shell scripting and mysql to import the data in a table and then update the opencart tables using mysql. Im not sure what affiliate links mean but please explain more as I am ...

Re: Ask help for paypla payment

Hi there, When I test sandbox features I do the following. Lets say that I created my paypal sandbox account as abc@newmanit.co.uk which is the login I get on the front page of sandbox. Then I create my business account and buyers account. By the looks of it you have entered your business sandbox ac...

Re: Error: Database does not exist!

Yes I would recomend you create a dedicated user for the db you are installing open cart into to ensure that this account does not have system wide access to your databases.

Good luck.

Re: email problem

I had something similar where I needed to change the mail content. I achieved this by editing:
catalog/language/english/checkout/confirm.php as my emails still read 'Your Store' rather than my business name.

Re: Error: Database does not exist!

Have you created the database before installing OpenCart? OpenCart does not create a db instance. This is something you need to do before you install open cart. The credentials you assign to the database when creating it is what you need to use with OpenCart DO NOT use the root / sa account which ha...

Re: installation error after database details

I had a look at this but I can't see how this could be possible with recent 1.x versions of opencart. The installation process does not seem to consider the table names created by the sql script but are predefined in all .php files which communicates with the database. So far I can only see the poss...

Re: installation error after database details

I've been going through the installation script and I cant find a way of doing this without re-writing all the files which runs the queries. Seems be support for database prefix but no table prefix. I even hacked the install script to include a table prefix but this doesnt work as the scripts queryi...

Re: installation error after database details

Do you have admin access to the box? Why cant you have more than 2 databases? Memory or hosting restrictions? My apologies. If you use a different prefix surely this should work? Can anyone comment on this? So what you are saying is: You install version x or opencart with prefix abc_opencart and now...

Re: installation error after database details

Yes you are right in assuming that. You need to have separate databases for your carts. OpenCart installs and populates the tables during installation. If you already have content or the structure of the pre-existing tables are different this will cause the error you describe. Create a new database ...

Newman IT - Business Online

I just built this site with OpenCart 1.2.7.

It took me 1 month but now it is fully automated with price and stock updates on a daily basis which also enables or disables products if they are not in stock or if they been discontinued by their supplier.

Re: Sub Categoris are not in my table ! HELP Pls...

I went a little further to resolve this. The issue you are having seems to happen in firefox but not in IE7. On the other hand if you remove the content_bottom image and borders to #content it works in Firefox as well. However having square boxes is not that fun so I added to /catalog/view/theme/def...
