Re: [Need Help]scripts to the bottom and make website faster

Thanks Shark. What are your yepnope checks doing? I found out about the checkout template files during my testing today. Thanks for the heads up. I ended up finding 2 checkout files, 4 account files, 4 affiliate files, and 4 module files in the template area that seemed to need delayed initializatio...

Browser detection in default template

I am currently converting all the jquery scripts in the default template (v1.5.5.1) to be compatible with jquery 1.9 and need some guidance on the use of $.browser in the product template. The code is as follows: if ($.browser.msie && $.browser.version == 6) { $('.date, .datetime, .time').bg...

New vulnerability reported by Janek Vind

I recently got this advisory from bugtraq@securityfocus.com and although I don't consider it a real problem because you need to be logged into the admin panel before the weakness presents itself, perhaps it should be looked at by the dev team, if not already done so. Message for everyone - make sure...

What do you mean by this? Does not work at all? Is jerky? Please describe what happens for you.

Also please describe exactly what you did.

Re: [Need Help]scripts to the bottom and make website faster

Has anyone done this yet, and had all the front end functions working properly? In 1.5.5.1?

Especially the checkout page!!!! It has bunches of ajax that fires off click and change events. They all need to be delayed in their initialization until after jquery is loaded.

I used version 1.5.5.1 for my testing and it was fine. I have not tried it in earlier versions.

Re: Remove the bug tracker from pull down menu

As an aside to that question, does anyone know if replies on github issue tracker can be removed? The reason I ask this is that some people are probably finding old tickets that talk about their issue and have "bothered" developers in the past, then tag their inquiry onto the end of that t...

Remove the bug tracker from pull down menu

Hey all, I would like to propose that we remove the "bug tracker" entry from the "support" pull down on the opencart site. There is mention of the tracker and its use on the general support page which would be easy to find for people that know the difference between reporting a b...

Re: General Development Process for Maximum Extensibility

That a broad topic and would require more of my time than I have available. One thing to note though is that Shoppica2 theme is quite a large change to OpenCart and it modifies core files. If you are new to web and OC coding, do your initial customizing on the default theme or a simple responsive on...

Re: How to make OpenCar default slider (Nivo Slider) respons

Upgrade nivo-slider to latest (v3.2 at time of writing). It is now responsive by default. I think it has been since v2.8. Anyway, the one in OpenCart is v2.7.1. I have been testing this new version and have come across no major problems. Just drop it in. You'll more than likely need to muck with CSS...

Re: Scheduled follow up emails after purchase

Thanks Avvici, I am fairly competent php/mysql programmer and you are right that the basis of the solution is pretty basic stuff. Though I am guessing I'd need extra customer or order fields to handle the management of who has received what and when do they get the next one. So I was hoping to get a...

Scheduled follow up emails after purchase

Hi All, I have read as much as I can about the various newsletter extensions, but have not found what I am looking for. Once a customer purchases (certain) products, we want to send a series of newsletters to them in order. These might be spaced 1 day apart, 1 week apart, or some other day spacing. ...
