Unable to Edit Orders

For some reason I cannot edit orders in the Dashboard (change status, void, etc). I can open them to edit - but as soon as I get to the customer details page, where I do have a required custom field (that IS filled in), I cannot go past that tab - it prompts me to fill in the custom field which is r...

Re: Layout (Multistore) Crash Course

Here is a fabulously exciting store to use as an example. https://sunnypointe.gtgshops.com As you can see - I did manage to create a wonderfully BLANK layout and make it work for common/home (not sure I did it correctly, but it seems to be working). If you click on the category in the Top navigation...

Layout (Multistore) Crash Course

I have successfully figured SO MUCH out on my own and with limited assistance over the past two weeks - but I cannot get eh hang of editing layouts now that I have multistore setup and working. I've googled, searched here, and watched the tutorial in the OpenCart documentation - but it's not for v3....

SSL, htaccess and multistore

I need some fresh sets of eyes. I've been going back and forth comparing code on working vs non-working (dev site vs production site) and I still haven't got the multistore figured out properly in EITHER of them. What I am trying to accomplish: 1. All addresses either with or without the www force t...

Re: Adding Custom Field to Step 5 of Checkout

Solution Found: If anyone else is looking for this type of custom field in checkout functionality, try this: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension/info&extension_id=36216 DANG I wish I HAD found this thread last week - now I suspect it would have provided exactly what I nee...

Re: Adding Custom Field to Step 5 of Checkout

No, they will not work. Like you said, account or address - meaning they save permanent with the account and the address info. I need this to be a unique entry with every order. Yes, po is for purchase order. There is an extension that adds it to step 6, with a "save" style versus a typical "requir...

Re: How to add custom fields on the checkout page?

I will give a tentative THUMBS UP for this extension - and within a couple hours it hopefully won't even be tentative but will be a VIGOROUS and SINCERE thumbs up instead. I've been working with them for the past 4 hours on making this extension work exactly how I need it to work - following an unfo...

Re: Administrative Back End Suggestions For the Next Version

Whether it's one person or 20 developing OC, I made the post in a forum titled "Feature Requests". I take "Feature Requests" from my clients and fellow designers on my server as well (I've been maintaining dedicated servers since 2000) - but that doesn't mean they are guaranteed to be fulfilled :) I...

Re: Administrative Back End Suggestions For the Next Version

These are some of the things I keep thinking should be already available in this level of shopping cart application. I've managed to resolve some of them with paid extensions - which I don't mind paying for at all as long as they are SUPPORTED and well documented. But the fewer 3rd party add-ons th...

Default Number of Products to Show (15)

Where is the code for the dropdown at the top of every category page that defaults to 15? Or have I missed an obvious setting somewhere to change the default?

I thought it might be under common but I can't find it.

Re: Administrative Back End Suggestions For the Next Version

OH - and built-in exporting of reports. Yikes, can't believe that's not already there! Although I think the Advanced Sales Reports extension is going to be about as comprehensive as it could be.

Re: Module developers, please read.....

YES, YES, a thousand times YES.

If you want to sell your extensions and make a buck or two, at least make useable instructions for not only the installation - but also how do to find the dang thing after it's installed.

Building your download zip accurately isn't a bad idea either.

Re: My First Open Cart - all products not showing

Hmm .. what do you mean with that? I thought you are using a plain installation - no extra template, no further extensions, no modifications, no .htaccess ?? And you 'discovered' OpenCart 5 days ago - welcome. But listen what experienced users here are telling you. I need to update my signature fil...

Is there a way to force checkout as guest only - NOT to allow account creation? In the System > Settings > Store > Options - there's a radio button to ENABLE guest checkout , but no way to DISABLE account creation as far as I can find. Current client has a local distribution method that works approp...

Re: My First Open Cart - all products not showing

Just for curiosity: have you tried the shop with OpenCart 2.3.0.2? Make a 2nd installation (e.g. in a subfolder) and see if this issue is also there. Of course, no modifications, no extension, no .htaccess - just a plain installation. I have not - I only discovered Open Cart 5 days ago. The thought...

Re: My First Open Cart - all products not showing

I gave up and went to bed - and am back up again at 3:30 in the morning (hey, whatever works, right?) and am relieved to now see all 9 products myself. Before crashing for the night (and giving up) I had opened it on Firefox, Chrome AND Edge. All 3 were only showing 1 product (and Edge I literally h...
