Re: Attempted Theft of the OpenCart Project!

When it is the same industry as in this case (i.e. software) - it is a no brainer. Gets a bit more complex when the companies are in different industries. This is a fairly famous case with some fairly large players: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Corps_v_Apple_Computer Of course, Apple Computer...

It should be no problem for Daniel to make his case, but much depends on how much of a μαλάκα he is dealing with.

Re: Attempted Theft of the OpenCart Project!

I've had issues like this before, but fortunately did not have to go to court as a simple letter to the perpetrator solve the issue. It is called 'Passing Off' - perhaps a term that is not well known in Greece http://www.companylawclub.co.uk/passing-off This term is well known in Greece though - μαλ...

Re: Is 2.1.0.1 ready for prime time?

Thanks for the responses. Just seeing the bug reports and what looks like zero response from the dev team doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. I sooo wish there were two branches - a stable branch with just bug and security fixes which had long term support and a feature release with all the latest ...

Is 2.1.0.1 ready for prime time?

If you were going to do a new install - would you use 2.1.0.1, or is 2.0.3.1 more stable?

Re: OpenCart 2.1.0.0 Pre-Release Testing

Exactly what is new in this version? The changelog doesn't have much to say.

Upgrade from 2.0.2.0 to 2.0.3.x

I can't seem to find any guide on doing this - is it an automated process - or does one have to go in and do it by hand?

Re: Non-sequential order numbers

I'm still interested in this. As for the legalities in some countries - does the customer need a sequential number? Surely if the database stores them sequentially, that should be ok - and the customer can get a non sequential number for their identification purposes. I wonder how cubecart manage wo...

Re: 2.0.1.1 released

What are the changes in this release? The changelog between 2.0.1.0 and 2.0.1.1 is empty.

Also, the upgrade.txt still talks about upgrading to 1.5.x.

Re: [SOLVED] Make Region/State a Text Field rather than Drop

I'd very much like to know how to do this.

To be fair, all shipping modules need to know to determine a price these days is the zip/postal code, and country. The pulll-down for region is a bit tedious, and most people can quite happily enter it themselves.

Re: 2.0.1.0 released

I paste the link with the OpenCart 2.0 new relase change log: https://github.com/opencart/opencart/blob/master/changelog.md#bugs-fixed Thanks. So is this release stable now and ready for live sites, or is this an interim release until the next lot of bugs are resolved? Does an upgrade from 1.5.6.4 ...

Re: Will 1.5 continue to be supported?

Bug fixes and security patches are fine by me - but with so many people on 1.5, and probably going to be on it for some time yet, i'm thinking that 1.5 will have to be supported. I'm at a point where I need to migrate from another cart to something new. I have 1.5.6.4 installed and am slowly tweakin...

Will 1.5 continue to be supported?

Will 1.5 become the 'stable' release with only bug & security fixes? This is what I hope.

If so, who will support 1.5.x - and might there be an official further release of 1.5.x in the future, or will the 'support' only consist of ad-hock patches from the community'?

Re: 2.0 Beta has been released!

Is there a release note or list of what's new, or changed in 2.0? Not at a low-level technical level, just a feature overview would be fine.
