I do not believe they ha...

Re: Setting up image subdomain

Oops I forgot to add how I have set up my subdomain. These are the main bits from my cPanel I think:

Subdomain root domain:
image.mydomain.co.uk

Document root:
/public_html/image

Redirection:
http://www.mydomain.co.uk/image/

Hopefully someone can tell me where I have gone wrong!
Cheers

Re: Setting up image subdomain

Hi, thanks for the reply. As it happens, I did change both the config.php file and the admin/config.php file. I have changed the IMAGE lines on each file as follows: Config.php, HTTP IMAGE line: define('HTTP_IMAGE', 'http://image.mydomain.co.uk/'); Config.php, HTTPS IMAGE line: define('HTTPS_IMAGE',...

.htaccess file in root Opencart directory

Hi all I have a question about the htaccess.txt file in the OC root directory. Does the name need to be changed to .htaccess for all installations, or should I only do that if the .htaccess file settings are needed? I am not sure exactly what the settings in that file do, and cant seem to find an an...

Re: .htaccess issue with Opencart

I have just tried to access the .htaccess protected location again, and it took me 10 attempts for the login to be accepted. Something is surely pretty bad here?

Re: .htaccess issue with Opencart

Hi, thanks for that. I did as you suggested, but the .htaccess is still forcing me to login 3 or 4 times each time. Any other things it may be? The .htaccess file is now: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off RewriteRule (.*) https://www.domain.co.uk/store/admin/ [R] AuthName "Restricted Area" A...

.htaccess issue with Opencart

Hi all I have been reading up on ways to make my site more secure, and have decided to force the Admin page to load in HTTPS and also to protect the Admin area with a .htaccess password. I created a .htaccess file and saved it in the Admin folder. To login to the Admin area, when the .htaccess popup...

Re: SSL issue

Thanks Chris. I have changed the root config file, and now the web address changes to HTTPS when I go to My Account link or Checkout, which is perfect. I have just two issues left now. The first is that if I open the site in IE8, and then go to one of the secured areas eg My Account, the address bar...

Re: SSL issue

Thanks Avvici and Christian for your help. Are you both saying that I need to edit both the root config.php file AND the Admin/config.php file? As I have currently only edited the Admin config file as per your instructions.

Thanks

Re: SSL issue

Also, you said the SSL should come up with the Login portion of Opencart. For some reason, when I select the Account Login link, the site goes to a HTTP webpage, not HTTPS: http://www.flameslongton.co.uk/store/index.php?route=account/login How can I enforce the SSL to be used when someone goes to lo...
