I made contact yesterday and the support team disabled the spammer's account. I then had to go through all my extension pages and remove the spam comments.

Alas, all you can do is remove posted comments. There is no way of pre-moderating comments before they are posted. You should contact support about spam comments though, preferably before deleting them, as I am not sure they are logged after deletion. Thanks uksitebuilder. I will definitely inform ...
