Daniel, there is any plans for a change in the modules directory structure, like separate the modules from the rest of OpenCart in a specific folder, for a better management of them? I consider the current way not 100% good, if I want to erase some extensions, I have to search for every file of the ...

Only the time will confirm if this spinoff will stay alive, but is a good start point to collect good new features for the OpenCart, I liked specially the quick options at catalog > products in admin panel, but not liked the colors and the big icons.

The Latest News (http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=feature/blog) should have at least a RSS feed, sadly I not found any RSS feed in OpenCart's page.

You are not confusing "access files" with "listing files" from the directory /update? Like uksitebuilder said, by default you just need to create directory, put files in and will have access by direct URL. And the default error for trying to list directory without index is Forbidden, not "page not f...

Since is a VPS host, I presume that you own should maintain all system updated, right? So you must check if your system is updated and mainly the Webserver (usually Apache) and PHP, if is not updated, may be your system is already compromised and you should look for rootkits and hidden files.
