Re: Accepting PayPal with out account?

Here's a good article that explains various reasons the card option isn't visible. The section that mentions cookies might explain your situation:

Re: Apostrophe Bug

I used to be with Godaddy. Their forum suggested you need to rename your php.ini to php5.ini I tried it at the time and it worked for me. For some reason, Godaddy's server doesn't use your php.ini unless your rename it as above. I suspect that may be the case for you too. There is also a php.ini in ...

Re: A good animated slider ?

In a standard 'slideshow' you normally just have images and text overlays to play with. But these are both limited to what can be done with them if they stood alone - such as various fades from one image to another, or a block of text that slides onto the image from the side. If you want something f...

Re: A good animated slider ?

You could try this one. I've used it and it seems to do most of what you say you need.

Re: Is There A Problem with FEATURED module?

I remember somebody mentioning a problem like this in the past. I haven't had the problem myself, but that post mentioned that there is a peculiarity in OC and his solution was this: If you have (for example) two stores, and your featured module is set to a 4 item limit, you have to multiply the two...

Re: robots.txt allow bingbot

Sometimes robots.txt can be useful... In the OP it has some standard entries often used in opencart to stop the search engine from indexing the cart, checkout, affiliate pages (unless you really want those indexed). Also it is stopping url's starting 'limit', 'sort' and 'order' which do tend to get ...

Re: PayPal Security Changes and OpenCart PayPal Extensions

I too am concerned about this and would like to know what to do. I scanned all OC files for the occurrence of the word "verisign" and found it in the controller file for paypalproUK, but not in the main paypalpro file. In the file it is actually a URL at verisign.com that it uses. This was the case ...

Re: Help! Websites Suddenly Show Internal Server Error on IE

Can't give you any direct help, but it might be useful if you can determine if it's ALL versions of IE that have the problem, or just one version. You can use the free service: http://netrenderer.com/ to show the home page of your site using all the different IE versions from IE6 right up to the lat...

Re: Blocking traffic from semalt and buttons-for-website

I am working on blocking these myself. I have found I can block them by adding the following to the end of my .htaccess

Code: Select all

SetEnvIfNoCase Referer semalt spammer=yes
SetEnvIfNoCase Referer buttons-for-website spammer=yes

Order allow,deny
Allow from all
Deny from env=spammer

Re: Issues with the banner, gets stuck

I had exactly the same problem in OC 1.5.1.3. The problem was solved by upgrading the jquery from version 1.6.1 to 1.7.1 What I did was just download a later version of OC (I downloaded 1.5.4.1), not to install it but to just extract the single upgraded jquery file. The file you need to replace is: ...

Re: Paypal standard and transactions..... how to check

I have read quite a bit about how theses crooks operate. The reason they select you as a fraud target is because of the potential selling value of the items, and whether they can then sell those on at a cheap price. In other words the items are popular. The stuff we sell is in a lower price bracket ...

Re: Paypal standard and transactions..... how to check

I can tell you what I did to solve it (I am in the UK so I don't know if it would work elsewhere). I removed the 'shipping address' option completely from the checkout and account pages, using mods/extensions from the store. My thought was that if they really needed a different shipping address they...

Re: pprmkr Tracker problem

I found the reason... When setting up the module after install, I didn't need to change any of the settings so I didn't click the Save button (I assumed it was already reading settings from the settings table). On checking the settings table I found there were no tracker entries. So it was testing e...

Re: pprmkr Tracker problem

Sorry I should have mentioned I made a slight change to the report tpl just to remove... 1. The link on the IP address 2. The country after the IP address 3. The link on the referrer Apart from those simple changes I didn't alter anything else. I've only just made those changes - the bot problem was...

Re: pprmkr Tracker problem

Yes, here are shots of the report and the settings. You can see Baiduspider for example is not showing as a bot but the exact same string is in the settings.

pprmkr Tracker problem

According to this extension, I should post questions to the forum, so here goes... I am using pprmkr tracker version 3.6, on opencart 1.5.1.3 and it appear to be fully compatible and doing it's job well except for one problem: For some reason, it is not flagging visitors as 'bots' when it should do....

Re: Custom buttons?

I'm not using 1.5.6. I use an earlier version. I've had a look at the differences in the CSS and it appears that the creation of buttons was completely redesigned in 1.5.6 In the old method, 4 images were used which had curved corners in the images themselves. In 1.5.6 there is only one image and it...
